Our need for intimate relationships is rooted in the fact that God created us for intimacy. The one thing that was not good after God created the first man was that he was alone. The blessing of intimate relationship is foundational to our being created in God's image, and God meets that need by creating the perfect Partner. Sometimes you don't know what a blessing certain things are in life until those things are gone. At creation, God provided man with certain foundational blessings that made life a literal paradise.
