When a trend falls it becomes outdated leaving a less desired cleanup for those who followed it. Clothes find their way to Goodwill, music falls off the radar or worse, ends up in the trashcan. Artists - should you follow trends for your art or stick to your path of individuality?

Music goes through trends. Lets not mistake the genres for trends because it's not the same. One trend started in the 1950s/60s with Bubble Gum music. In the 1990s it was the boy bands. Today, music has taken a strange trend of slow, no passion, acoustic playing, no talent singers and combined it into music. When trends die, so does the music. Are we in jeopardy of losing an entire decade of music thanks to a trend brought on by the mighty music industry - forcing us to accept this as good? Maybe try indie music?

Danae - Danae gave up her job in the CIA to pursue her dream to be a singer. She not only accomplished that but she's blowing the industry away. Her brand new EP was released and her song "New Direction" is featured on our site.

Rodrigo Obregon - Rodrigo plays in the movie about Ernest Hemingway's life, and it's filmed in Cuba. The first film taped in the country since the 1980s. He plays Hemingway's friend.

Commentary

We cover a few things that's going wrong in the media today. One of them is false reporting. Today, so many stories are reported on as facts but are nothing more than their opinion. People believe this as facts and thus follow blindly, never looking into the real facts behind it - instead believing the propaganda.

Then we talk about a disturbing trend in social media and the mainstream media. The idea that if you disagree with someone's life in their sexual preference, religious beliefs, lifestyle choice etc... then you hate them. Well then everyone must hate everyone because I don't know anyone that completely agrees with me. Not even my wife!
