The war in Ukraine has separated Russia and the West in a way not seen since the Cold War. The US and Europe imposed economic sanctions on Russia and, as a result, the country has had to rely on China and an axis of non-western for economic and military assistance. Does this mean that a new cold war has arrived? Doc and his friend and 2/7 brother Matthew Maxwell discuss this as well as the latest developments in Israel/Palestine.

This past week saw the death of Iran's president Ebrahim Raisi and its foreign minister in a helicopter crash. The deaths are not believed to have been an act of sabotage but nonetheless could have implications for the war in Israel and the overall security situation in the Middle East. In the midst of widespread pro-Palestine protests at college campuses around the country, what is protest? Does it work? When is it appropriate? How far is too far? We discuss.

Over the past three weeks there have been a number of political developments for the war in Ukraine but not much movement on the ground. In Palestine/Israel, and Iranian rocket and drone attack was largely fended off by combined Israeli and US countermeasures. What does it all mean for the wars? This past week saw airstrikes in Gaza and Damascus with very different outcomes. In Gaza seven aid workers from the aid group World Central kitchen were killed in a mistaken attack by the Israeli military. The incident elicited the rare apology from Israel's Prime Minister Netanyahu. There was also a strike by Israel against senior Iranian Al Quds force members in Damascus. Today was a big primary day in the South and Northwest with elections in Georgia, Mississippi and Washington. As of our recording President Biden had clinched the Democratic primary president and former President Trump was well on his way. What will happen over the next four years? Doc and Harpo talk it out.

Doc is currently in the middle of a self-imposed news blackout but doesn't need it to know who is going to win big on Super Tuesday. He and Harpo discuss the results and predictions for 2028.
