American Exception

This episode kicks off our series with Ben Howard on the post-Cold War global drug meta-group (GDMG). For a time, the GDMG was centered around the milieu at Far West, a private military/intelligence outfit that combined elements of classic deep state outfits like the World Commerce Corporation, Booz Allen, BCCI, etc.

The basis for this series is Peter Dale Scott's epic 2005 Lobster magazine article, “The Global Drug Meta-Group: Drugs, Managed Violence, and the Russian 9/11.” This article and its subject matter were a major part of Peter's poem “A Ballad of Drugs and 9/11” which we discussed in Part 20 of our Peter Dale Scott Oral History series.

Check out the CovertAction Magazine 9/11 trilogy by Good, Howard, Scott:

The Twenty Year Shadow of 9/11: Why Did Key U.S. Officials Protect the Alleged 9/11 Plotters?

The Twenty Year Shadow of 9/11: U.S. Complicity in the Terror Spectacle and the Urgent Need to End It

Note: This episode was recorded before I learned of the newly less-redacted James Angleton Church Committee testimony. That, to my mind, is very relevant to understanding Far West and the GDMG, as we will discuss in coming episodes.

Aaron is joined by Vanessa Beeley and  Dr. Piers Robinson to discuss issues raised by their 2024 article, “ Understanding Power Dynamics and Moving Beyond Divisions: COVID 19 through to Ukraine and Israel/Palestine.” In particular, we discuss whether our terrible regime is a manifestation of Western capitalist imperialism or, alternatively, if we are ruled by a globalist cabal that secretly commands the governments in Washington, London, Tel Aviv, Beijing, Moscow, and Tehran.

Vanessa Beeley is an independent journalist and photographer who has worked extensively in the Middle East - on the ground in Syria, Egypt, Iraq and Palestine, while also covering the conflict in Yemen since 2015. Vanessa contributes regularly to UK Column News, RT, Press TV and many independent media outlets. You can find her work at her Substack and on Patreon.

Piers Robinson is the founding editor of Propaganda in Focus. He is also co-director of the Organisation for Propaganda Studies, convenor of the Working Group on Syria, Propaganda and Media, associated researcher with the Working Group on Propaganda and the 9/11 Global ‘War on Terror’, and member of Panda and BerlinGroup21.

Aaron and Bryce discuss issues related to the campus protests spreading across the US in opposition to the Zionist campaign of genocide in Gaza. Bryce Greene has been a leader of this movement at Indiana University in Bloomington. He was recently arrested and subsequently banished from campus for 5 years by the powers that be. We talk about this along with related issues…like the question: Is Israel a US puppet or is the US controlled by Zionism…or do we have to choose one or the other for some reason?

Aaron speaks to Lawrence Wilkerson. He is a retired United States Army Colonel and former chief of staff to United States Secretary of State Colin Powell. Then Aaron gives a detailed rundown on a significant re-declassified JFK assassination document—the executive session testimony of James Angleton to the Church Committee in 1975. Released in December of 2022, the new version has far fewer redactions than the version released in the 1990’s.
