The finale of my review of the "U.S.A." trilogy by John Dos Passos. In this part we focus on again on the working class activists, which is where we started the series.

The penultimate part of my review of John Dos Passos' "U.S.A." Trilogy. In this section we witness the end of a character who has been with us from almost the beginning, but that is all just part of the wild mosaic of this novel.

This section of John Dos Passos' brilliant U.S.A. Trilogy follows the rise of consumer culture as reflected in the biographical sketches and we get to know Margo Dowling, who will be a major character in the later part of this series.

In this episode we follow our characters in the aftermath of the Great War as they participate on the margin of greatness at or around the Paris Peace Settlement. We also see the end of Daughter, a great character while she lasted, and we meet Ben Compton who always seems to be taking one for the team. And Dos Passos eulogizes the unknown soldier without sentiment or grotesque patriotism.

In this episode we continue our look at 1919, part of the U.S.A. trilogy by John Dos Passos. This section focuses on a new character, "Daughter" and the continued degeneracy of Eveline Hutchins.

We lose Joe Williams as we get to the halfway point of 1919 and the entire U.S.A. series. This section is also notable for its biographical sketches of Woodrow Wilson and Teddy Roosevelt.

In this part of my review of John Dos Passos, "U.S.A." trilogy, we start our look at the central novel about World War I called 1919 and focus on the character of Joe Williams and Evelin Hutchins (who we already knew) and are introduced to Dick Savage.

Part three of this mega review of U.S.A trilogy completed our look at 42nd Parallel. In this part we say bye (only for now we hope) Mac and meet Charley Anderson.

So in this part of my review of Dos Passos' U.S.A. trilogy we meet J. Ward Moorehouse, Eleanor Stoddard, and Janey Williams. Still no plot, but all a brilliant mosaic of American life in the early 20th century.
