In this meaningful interview, Shayndel talks about the Jewish holiday of Tu B'Shevat. Celebrated on the 15th of the Hebrew month of Shevat. Tu B'Shevat is the birthday of the trees. We can learn a lot about life from this holiday. One of the most important things we learn, is that time is sacred. Judaism marks milestones of time. There is a time to give and a time to receive. When we first plant a tree, we need to wait three years before we can eat from the fruit of the tree. Also, before we eat the fruit, we need to say a blessing so that we elevate the physical, and turn it into something spiritual. When we eat, we flourish.  

Shayndel also talks about the 7 species that we eat on Tu B' Shevat. These foods grow in the land of Israel:

Rebbetzin Manya Lazaroff is the co-director of the Rohr Chabad Jewish Center at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas.   

In this down-to-earth and very relatable interview, Rebbetzin Manya talks to us about parent-child relationships and how to interact with our children while understanding who they are, and respecting them as individuals. She emphasizes that each child came into the world with a specific purpose; each child has a Divinely ordained reason that they are here. We, as parents, need to help them be the best that they can be with the challenges, strengths, talents, and abilities they in particular, were given. If we accept that our kids and human, and that we are also human, and that we all make mistakes, we remove the need for guilt, and we are better able to think clearly. We can then help our children clearly identify their challenges, and help them come up with solutions.

Rebbetzin Manya also said that we need to explain to our children the reasons behind things we value and deem important. Also, if they encounter something that doesn't feel right to them, they should question it--if one person doesn't know the answer, they should ask someone else. If something doesn't feel right to you, don't do it.

Rebbetzin Devorah Leah Marrus is the co-director of programming at Chabad of South Carolina. She is also a marriage, couples and family psychotherapist. 

In this engaging interview, Rebbetzin Devorah Leah emphasizes how important it is for a new mother to have support as she transitions into this new chapter of her life, whether it's her first child or her 6th child. She also tells us how important it is for a new mother to communicate with her husband before, during and after the pregnancy, so that they can build a stronger bond, making things easier, once the baby arrives. Rebbetzin Chana Bilek is a Korean-American Orthodox Jewish woman who was born into poverty in South Korea, and was adopted as a young child. She is now a life coach, consultant, public speaker, and the wife of an Orthodox rabbi in Baltimore, Maryland!
