  • 19 - Waity Katie No More: A Prince William and Kate Middleton Engagement Retrospective
This week the Royals gathered to celebrate an amazing event--Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip’s 70th wedding anniversary! Harry and Meghan can certainly learn a lot from looking at his grandparents, but another event that happened seven years ago can provide a lot of guidance for the near-term.
On November 16, 2010, the Royal Family announced that Prince William was engaged to his long-time girlfriend, Catherine Middleton. After Jenna and Katelyn finished grieving the fact that Wills was off the market, we were excited to live vicariously through Kate, a commoner marrying into the Firm. On this episode, your hosts look at the logistics of the engagement, including the proposal in Kenya, the formal announcement, the interview, the dress, the photos, and the reaction, and speculate about what will happen if/when Harry and Meghan reach a similar milestone!
In this week’s news, the Queen gets cultured in Hull, Charles celebrates a birthday, William and Harry do good around London, Kate plays with babies, and Meghan flies to the UK.

  • 18 - Eat, Drink and Please Don’t Sit by Me
This week, as Americans gear up for Thanksgiving, Jenna and Katelyn reflect on what they love about the holiday. Though your hosts are sad for the royals’ Stovetop Stuffing-less lives, we imagine Will, Kate, Harry, and Meghan are happy they don’t have to deal with one of the more awkward elements of the holiday--figuring out how to avoid certain relatives!
Join us on this episode as we talk about some of the more obscure royals and in-laws who your hosts definitely wouldn’t want to sit next to at Thanksgiving dinner.
In the news segment this week, the Queen reveals a new unveiling method, William and Harry watch rugby, Kate wears an amazing (and expensive) dress, Meghan leaves T.V., and all the members of the Firm make appearances in honor of Remembrance Day.

  • 17 - To Catch a Prince
In honor of the one-year anniversary of the most romantic press release ever, Jenna and Katelyn look into the courtship between an American actress and an eligible European prince. Sixty years before Meghan and Harry became a couple, Grace Kelly and Prince Rainier III of Monaco fell in love. On this episode, we examine Princess Grace’s early life and acting career, her romance with Prince Rainier, and the parallels between the two actresses and their handsome princes. After all, Princess Grace’s wedding is the origin of many of our Americrown Dreams!
We also discuss current news, including the Queen’s investiture of two famous witches, Prince Philip’s retirement cottage, Charles and Camilla’s lack of PDA, William’s earth-saving endeavors, Harry and Michelle’s surprise school visit, and Kate’s spate of appearances.

  • 16 - A Study in Greenery (and Royal Pronunciation)
Join Jenna and Katelyn for an extended look at what the royals have been up to this week. First in our round up of the senior royals, we discuss the Queen’s introduction to another horse, learn how to pronounce “Duchy,” receive an owl alert from Clarence house, and touch down with Chaz and Cams in Singapore.
For the younger crowd, we talk about William’s awards show appearance, Prince George’s holiday from school, and speculate about some upcoming Kate appearances. Next, we once again learn how to pronounce things as we break down Harry’s trip to Denmark and learn a little more about the Danish royal family. Finally, we discuss our thwarted attempts to watch “When Harry Met Meghan,” and what we learned from the reviews. Spoiler alert: It’s bad!
