This is the fourth in a series on the experiences of pastors' wives. We all have a pastor or two in our church, and we tend to have very clear job descriptions and understandings of what a pastor's role should be or should look like. But oftentimes, we don't have that same clarity for the wife of our pastors. And while it varies from church to church, I was curious about the experiences and perspectives of pastors wives on the whole. This week we hear from Jacki C King, who knew she had a call to ministry when she was in college but was determined not to marry a pastor.
Jacki and her husband, Josh, have three kids on the verge of the teen years. Jacki serves as women's minister and Josh serves as lead pastor at 2nd Baptist Church in Conway, Arkansas.

This week we hear from Taylor Lee Ledbetter, who became a mom and pastor's wife all at once.
Taylor Lee and her husband, Neal, are members of Mars Hill Church in Fairhope, where he serves as campus pastor.

This week we hear from Page Hughes, which is extra special because while she's a pastor's wife, she's also a pastor's child and the mom of two pastors.
Page and her husband, Les, serve Pleasant Grove First Baptist Church together and also co-founded Anchor Deep Ministries and Meanwhile Ministries.

But oftentimes, we don't have that same clarity for the wife of our pastors. And while it varies from church to church, I was curious about the experiences and perspectives of pastors wives on the whole. So we're going to dive in, starting with the person I've watched in this role my whole life – my mom, Tracy Walsh.
Tracy is an elementary school teacher, and her husband, Dave, is the pastor of Ariton Baptist Church in rural south Alabama.

Camellia Finkley grew up in church, and when she got married, she had so much hope for what her future would look like. But her newlywed hope disappeared as her husband became verbally, emotionally, mentally and physically abusive. Camellia's is a story that's hard to hear, but important to hear.
