I'm back! In this episode, I speak to Adrian Christian, a performer who has just released a compelling Christmas song, 'Midnight Will Be Clear', about someone who was now sober and enjoying their first Christmas without drinking. It could also apply to the pandemic, as many people are looking for a release from the horrors of what's going on. I'm back! I've been away for a while, and I have explained my absence, so apologies for being away for so long. In this episode of Amy Talks, I speak to writer and actor Rick Karatas (although he likes to be called Sudi) about his book 'Rainbow Relatives'. This book teaches young children about LGBT+ families, so as they grow up they can be more aware of the family setups around them. I ask him about negative reactions to the book, what children can learn and why the younger people are more open and accepting than other generations.
