I have to find somewhere without signal so that I can examine the phone and work out how to stop the calls in order to help Anne and give me some peace. It's going to require stealth, concentration and silence before I get to the deserted Italian restaurant and onto the buffet of chips...

This dream, featuring myself, one of the protagonists of my novel The Gold - Bruce Robinson (Withnail & I creator) and my husband and editor - Brian Trevelyan, plus an unnamed shadowed man, is just one of many disturbing dreams I’ve been having about my journey working on the book over the past 8 years.
