This week's guest is Dr. Patty Mooney. Dr. Mooney is currently an adjunct professor at Lone Star College and a consultant at Leading School Learning. She began her educational career teaching kindergarten and first grade before stepping into the administrative roles of assistant principal and principal. She has led both elementary and middle school campuses to success by supporting teachers in her mission to always put kids first.

Ana began her career as a first and fifth grade bilingual teacher before moving on to supervise bilingual teachers at the district level. She would move on to become the bilingual liaison between the district and campuses before becoming an assistant principal and then principal. She then took over the role of District Textbook Coordinator before becoming the Assistant Director of Special Programs for Bilingual/ESL Education. She stepped into the role of Federal Program Director before becoming an independent consultant through various bilingual advocate groups.
She recently made the decision to leave education to watch her grandson full time, only 2 years out from retirement. Talk about commitment to family! Hear Ana's story and why she made this decision!
Jodi Barber-Harris began her educational career as a middle and high school science teacher. She soon became an instructional coach for science before moving on to become the campus improvement specialist. Her most recent public school experience was as a district secondary science coordinator. Currently she is the Area Implementation Manager for Midwest for Explore Learning.

Juan Lira is a Bilingual Licensed Vocational Counselor with 16 years experience behind him and a Board-Approved Supervisor. He was a teacher before he became a school counselor. Currently he is practicing at Positive Soul Holistic Therapy in San Antonio Texas. His experience includes working with anxiety, relationship problems, depression as well as working with those families that are going through difficult periods, such as the loss of a love one, trauma, divorce and separation. Additionally, I work with individuals struggling with self-image, self-harm and dealing with life changes.
He specializes using proven methods based on theoretical practices which includes REBT- Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy, Reality Therapy and Brief Solution Focus Therapy. He counsels individuals, families, and groups and has written a blog post on Anxiety. You can read it here.
