  • Episode 45 - Zero Impact, Deep Disappointment

This week the news is non-existant, Sean has nothing to recommend and Deep Impact is way more boring than we remember. You know what, just skip ahead to Episode 46.

Okay maybe the film isn't THAT bad but in the name Halley's Comet does it have issues! Regardless, your Englishman, Ian Whittington, and your Irishman, Sean Ferrick, are here to pull apart exactly why you should watch Armageddon instead!

Next week it's the listener's choice: MIB!!

  • Episode 44 - Independence Weekend With Radioactive Fireworks

This week, we learn that the first half of Independence Day is not quite as action packed as we remembered, but the second half still bangs! Ian foolishly allows Seán to edit, so literally anything could happen. Anything.

  • Episode 43 - Armageddon Outta Here
This week Albert Hogan returns to help Ian and Sean bifurcate the 90's classic that is Armageddon; the Bay-iest movie to ever Michael Bay its way onto our screens. The science books are thrown out the airlock, Aerosmith is locked into the 8 Track player and most bizarrely of all; Bruce Willis has hair. With that being said, there's no denying this film is a huge amount of fun, so much so, that even I.a.n manages to see past its unapologetic ignorance of gravity and just enjoy for it the popcorn flick it is.
In other news, despite not having paid a damn bit of attention to the Oscars; Ian, Sean and Albert decide to cover them anyway. Albert recommends two different DaVinci autobiographies and Ian recommends the first 60minutes of Netflix's Stowaway. Great form as always chaps, great form

The movie so nice the podcast covered it twice! Well, really we just split the episode into two! Following on from last week, Alan, Ian and the kids are at the T-Rex pen, and Dennis Nedry decides that NOW is a good time for a drive!

  • Episode 41 - Jurassic SauroPod
Step into the EnglishIrishGTM time machine as we travel back to the decade that gave us the modern blockbuster as we know it; The 90's! Before Marvel and, let's face it, Disney dominated the screens this decade birthed some all-time classics, and over the next few weeks, Ian and Sean are here to cash in on that Nostalgia like a scientist that's stumbled on a Dinosaur biting mosquito in amber!
First is one of the greatest family (?) movies ever made: Jurrasic Park. A titan of cinema that is so impressive it wasn't possible to squeeze into just one episode...we're gonna need a bigger podcast.

  • Episode 40 - About Time Part 5: Deja Vu

Didn't we do this one already? Wait, I'm fairly sure that we have...

Join Seán and Ian as they delve into the murky waters of a post-Katrina New Orleans to uncover bodies that never should have been there to begin with. Denzel Washington is on excellent form as he returns to work with Tony Scott (brother of) and witnesses the largest explosion that part of America had ever seen!

Thank you for joining us for our time travel season! Join us for our next series, which we'll tell you all about in the episode!

  • Episode 39 - About Time Part 4: Predestination

Time Travel month continues with Ethan Hawke's Predestination, a film which is literally impossible to describe without spoiling it, so you're just going to have to listen for yourselves!

Ian and Sean lose their collective Trekkie minds as they jump straight into the pod fresh off watching the teaser for Picard Season 2, if you're not into Star Trek, skip ahead 15 minutes or so! Swiftly after that a new word is born as the gents introduce their Retro-mends for the week: Death Becomes Her and Man on Fire.

  • Episode 38 - About Time Part 3: Twelve Monkeys
In what has got to be one of the stranger films that have been covered on the pod, Ian and Seán discuss Terry Gilliam's 1995 film Twelve Monkeys, which is most certainly NOT the TV show (Ian makes this point once or twice. Or thrice). Though not nearly as a brain-melting as Shane Carruth's Primer, it is certainly a movie that requires a pot of coffee and potentially, LSD, to make sense of. That said, Bruce Willis, Madeline Stowe and Brad Pitt deliver fantastic performances!

  • Episode 37 - About Time Part 2: Looper

Fingers crossed this episode gets released and isn't sent back in time to be deleted by Episode One because it's Looper time! Rian Johnson's fantastic time travel flick see's Joseph Gordan-Levitt and Bruce Willis play Joe, a criminal hired to kill strangers sent back in time from the future...until he is faced with his future self.

In the news we finally see the release of the Snyder cut of Justice League (of course we talk about it) and Ian and Sean's thoughts about the newly announced Face off 2 and Ace Ventura 3 because Hollywood loves originality.
