This one is in Wilmington, OH...not Dayton, OH, got it? Good, cause one James E. Cornette did not this January 2004 day. But that's only a small part of the story, because little did we know it was the last time we would see Christopher Daniels for 18 months, and little did we know that the face of ROH would change drastically less than 2 months later.

But this night, sharing a wall with a gun show, ROH presented a show that they themselves heralded as an "early show of the year contender". Does it live up to that hype job? With a first-time match in AJ & Homicide, the Prophecy & Saints war, and Samoa Joe & Danielson vs. The Briscoes, it certainly seems like a possibility on paper! So join Jeff & Shane as they dip into '04 ROH and explore TBLAD (and hear Hags vent about his travel woes as well).

Roderick Strong was a centerpiece of Ring of Honor for a long time before he was ever crowned champion...just over 5 years and 15 unsuccessful title shots to be specific. The DVD compilation, dubbed "Destiny Fulfilled" by Hagadorn & the ROH Bristol Office, was a chronicle of just a portion of that journey. Featuring bouts with the likes of KENTA, Davey Richards, Tyler Black (Seth Rollins), and others, it also provided words straight from the Roderick's mouth about his journey to being called World Champion.
Join Jeff & Shane as they take a dive into this 2-Disc set to talk about the matches, the man, and the stories!
Matches discussed include:
ROH World Championship Nigel McGuinness (Champion) vs. Roderick Strong “Driven 2008” – Boston, MA – 9.19.2008
Roderick Strong vs. Katsuhiko Nakajima “Supercard of Honor IV” – Houston, TX – 4.3.2009
ROH World Championship Jerry Lynn (Champion) vs. Roderick Strong “A Cut Above” – Dayton, OH – 4.24.2009
ROH World Tag Team Championship The American Wolves (Davey Richards & Eddie Edwards) (Champions) vs. Roderick Strong & KENTA “Violent Tendencies” – Detroit, MI – 6.26.2009
Roderick Strong vs. Bryan Danielson “ROH on HDNet Episode 34” – Philadelphia, PA – 9.11.2009
Roderick Strong vs. Brian Kendrick “8th Anniversary Show” – New York, NY – 2.13.2010

Hagadorn didn't really get what Festivus is, so one fine day Jeff explained it to him...the airing of grievances, the feats of strength... and thus An Honorable Festivus was born!!!
We don't endeavor to any of those feats, but there are plenty of grievances aired in this departure from our norm! We've got them written, we've got them audio, hell we've even got some in video form that will go up on our YouTube page in the coming days!
Plenty of fan involvement, some anonymous donors, and even Mrs. Hagadorn had a complaint to air!
It's a fun one to wrap up the 2018 podcast year for AHM!!! Join us for An Honorable Festivus!

In January 2010, the decision was made to introduce a secondary singles title to Ring of Honor for the 1st time since the Pure Title was unified with the World Title in August 2006.
And with the company entering their 2nd year of "ROH on HDNet TV", what better championship to create than a Television Title.
Listen along as Jeff & Shane discuss the creation of the title, both physically and the concept, the 7 matches in the tournament, the havoc a snowstorm wreaked, and the aftermath of crowning Eddie Edwards as the very first champion.
Is there such thing as too many heels? Was Edwards the right choice? What were their Jeff & Shane's favorite matches? What the hell was a 10 Minute Hunt and why was it a terrible idea for Eddie? Those topics and more will be discussed on this episode of AHM!

December 4, 2004 marked the culmination of The Trilogy; in June and once more in October, World Champion Samoa Joe was taken to 60 minute draws by challenger CM Punk.

In the wake of near company ending controversy earlier in the year, these bouts firmly established that Ring of Honor was still alive and well, and the October bout even earned an illustrious 5-Star rating (these were the days before 6 and 7 stars mind you) from the Wrestling Observer, the first North American match to receive that praise since 1997.

So in Elizabeth, NJ...as part of one of the longest shows (at least on DVD) ROH had produced up to that point...Joe and Punk met one more time with No Time Limits restraining their battle.

This is a look at that HISTORY making event that also featured the first time Jim Cornette and Bobby Heenan collide in the same ring at the same time, it would be the first time Ricky Steamboat tried to do something he hadn't before, and the first time a viewer spends 5 hours being yelled at by the commentary team.

It's “All Star Extravaganza II”; so join Jeff & Shane as they dive on in to these New Jersey waters!

November 2003 was a huge month in the young life of ROH, and for our co-host Shane Hagadorn as well. It was the very first time Ring of Honor ran a double-shot weekend, and those two events were also the culmination of 5 shows from October 16th - November 29th; not a lot now but at the time, it was totally uncharted territory.

For Shane, it was the month he left Michigan & moved to Pennsylvania to start the ROH school under CM Punk, while this event marked the very 1st one he worked as part of the crew.

Join Shane and Jeff as they dip back in the waters of late 2003 and discuss the experiences of being on the other side of the guardrail for the first time, of meeting some of the locker room, and the experiences of meeting a hero in Raven.

Of course they discuss the event itself, more Field of Honor "love", the distasteful end of the DVD production, and a whole lot more!

Monsta Mack was one of the first men to sign on to Ring of Honor in 2002; he was part of the very first segment fans saw live, and on the VHS as well. As one-half of Da Hit Squad, along with Mafia, Mack played a huge role in establishing the foundation for ROH during the that first year. He set the tone for the hard-hitting, Japanese influenced style (along with his fellow Homicide-trained brethren), stood as defenders of the Code of Honor, and should have been something bigger when it came to that nascent tag title scene.
So why wasn't he? Why did it just seem to abruptly end in early 2003? Those answers and more are unveiled as Monsta Mack joins An Honorable Mention for one in-depth conversation on his ROH career!
Topics include the early East Coast indy scene trend setter, Jersey All Pro Wrestling, how he first found out about ROH, his reflections on the tag title tournament at Unscripted & what happened with The Natural Born Sinners that night(the answer to where was Homicide, REVEALED!), working Scramble Matches with The SAT & Special K, plenty of Low Ki and Homicide stories from behind the scenes & discussion on the reputations they have built up.
We also dive deep into the long thread of how & why it all ended for for Monsta Mack in ROH.
Plus Monsta Mack's thoughts on how Ring of Honor should recognize its roots in Madison Square Garden & why he's ok with the very first segment from an Era of Honor Begins being left off the Honor Club.
Join Jeff & Shane as they take a tour through the early days of Ring of Honor with a jovial and personable man who experienced Ring of Honor from the inception!

Well...this is it, the one that we've been waiting on since the beginning, and we are doing it for the 5 year anniversary of when it happened!

It's the story, from the perspective of Hagadorn himself, of when SBG purchased Ring of Honor from Cary Silkin and all the trials & tribulations that followed over the next several years.

There are entirely too many topics to list them all but it ranges from when Shane found out about the sale & how he felt, how/why he was removed from the head of ring crew, the day-to-day problems of a TV company buying a wrestling company, how things changed in the office & on the road, and yes, how it all ended.

It's pretty open and honest, even funny (which was kind of a surprise), and ultimately that's all we ever aim for on this show.

So join Jeff & Shane as they take a dive into the waters of one of the most tumultuous points in ROH's history, and explore how it affected one of the men in the thick of it all.

Well we said we weren't going to do it, yet here we are...it's a show after Shane parted ways with Ring of Honor! Jeff made the choice, and here we are taking a look at "All Star Extravaganza VII" from September of 2015.

What does Shane think of how the landscape has changed? Is he surprised by anything he sees? Why did Jeff pick this specific show anyway? Join us as we take a look at ROH A.H. (After Hagadorn) with "ASE7"!
