Three directives for the race of faith, so that together we might finish the course

From 2 Peter 1:3-4 I want you to see that both your salvation and sanctification is complete. It has been divinely purchased for you. And it comes with all the spiritual resources you will ever need, so that you can be encouraged that no matter the trial, you know that you have all sufficient grace to live for the glory of God.

From second Peter 1:1-2 we are going to first look at the kind of believer God uses and then we are going to take a closer look at your salvation and see where it comes from and how you are to mature as a believer, so that you will be encouraged, strengthened, and emboldened as you seek to bring glory to God in your life.

Sometimes even believers in Christ can find that they are trying to earn Gods love by their deeds. Living for Christ can soon turn into a burden of pressure and fear, rather than a life of joy. How do we fix this? By getting back to the gospel.

From I Tim. 3:1-7 we learn that the responsibility of every elder is to maintain the necessary biblical qualifications so that Jesus Christ can speak to and have His way in every local church.
