Donna Prescott was born on the island of St Lucia and moved to the United States of America at the age of 16. Not long after immigrating to the United States, Donna became a teenage mother. Fast forward a few decades later, Donna is a Salon Owner based in Brooklyn NY. She’s also the owner of a Raw Indian Hair Extensions and Luxury Wigs and the founder of the Beauty Day Contest where she treats one person monthly that suffers from severe hair loss. It was April of 2005, I sat in my apartment crying profusely for about two weeks. I didn’t shower,  I didn’t sleep, I didn’t eat. The phone rang for days on end-- I looked at the caller ID, I ignored it. I thought my life was over. ⁣I was one month away from graduating from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor's Degree in Criminology + Professional & Technical Writing. I was also 4 months pregnant. ⁣I thought my life was over. My dreams were shattered, or so I thought . . .
