A couple who 'fell' in love on a Philadelphia bus are now celebrating 73 years of marriage.

When Roland Scarinci stepped onto a Philadelphia Transportation Company bus, the predecessor to SEPTA (PTC became SEPTA in 1968), he saw Gloria and his life changed forever.

"When I got on that bus, I couldn't believe my eyes. I seen the prettiest girl I've ever seen in my life," Roland reminisced.

Gloria then said, "I was counting my change to pay the conductor and the bus jerked. He was behind me and I fell in his arms."

"And from there on, it was history," Roland continues. "I asked her where she was going. She said dancing on 69th Street." They then jitterbugged the night away.

The couple are now celebrating seventy-three happy years together. The secret?

"One of the things I learned very fast was: whenever she says something, pay attention," Roland said laughing.

Mercedes Boggs was on her way to work when her car hit a patch of ice, flipped upside down and slid down an embankment into a creek.

Trapped in her car, Boggs began to regain consciousness as freezing cold water began to pour into her car.

Kentucky coal miner John Burke was on his way home from work when he saw her vehicle and knew he had to help. Burke started to approach the vehicle and that's when Boggs knew everything was going to be all right.

“When I saw him, it was just like everything was fine,” she told WVLT News-8 “I wasn’t even scared anymore. I just knew that that was like my saving grace.”

Boggs was rushed to the hospital without knowing the name of the man who had just saved her life. She shared her story on Facebook hoping someone would find the name of the person she now considers her guardian angel.

“… Please please share this in hope to help me find the man that saved my life, I owe him deeply. I would just like to speak to him. Without him, this situation would’ve been much different.”

By the end of the day, Boggs’ post was shared around 900 times. Burke saw it and messaged her where she said he downplayed his role in her rescue and doesn't consider himself a hero. Boggs and her family could not disagree more.

“Kids look up to like batman and superman and like those superheroes. That’s how I look at John now. He will forever be my hero,” told WVLT. “He was the person that saved my life.”

A Chick-Fil-A employee had a shock of a lifetime when she was gifted a brand new car from her co-worker.

Hokule’a Taniguchi a 19-year-old's only means of transportation from her home in Neenah to her job at Chick-fil-A in Grand Chute was her bicycle.

"I couldn't do it, myself!" Bridges told FOX affiliate WLUK of her friend. "I just – I can't imagine how she does it."

The car was the grand total prize for the restaurant's Christmas party. “It was kinda like the rumor at Chick-fil-A that there’s gonna be a car at the giveaway,” Bridges said. “We all put one in and we’re like, ‘If one of us gets it, it’s gonna go to Taniguchi, like no matter what.’ It was not a second thought.”

Once it was announced that 17-year-old Haley Bridges won the car, she ran over to Taniguchi and gave her the biggest hug to let her know she'd be giving the car to her.

"I really just started crying, because I was so happy and I was like, 'Oh my gosh! I can't believe this is real!'" Taniguchi told WLUK. "Now I can go grocery shopping. I can like go to work like five minutes before now, instead of like two hours earlier, just to get here on time," Taniguchi continued. "There's a million more opportunities and possibilities for me now!"
