This guy is more of a hero than you realize.

You’ve probably seen the video of the football coach who disarmed the student at an Oregon high school. And you’ve probably heard that he’s a former Philadelphia Eagles assistant coach.  But I have to say – I can’t stop watching this video because of the love and compassion Keanon Lowe showed that student.

Yes. That kid who showed up to school with a gun, planning to kill. I believe he deserves love and compassion, because maybe, just maybe, it’s a lack of that attention that led to his decision to go to school and inflict the only pain he knew would mimic the pain he’s feeling.

Kudos, Coach Lowe.  Thank you for showing love instead of hate. In that moment, when you saved lives and brought the bad guy down, you did it with a heart full of compassion instead of anger. When you could have used your arms to break a damaged kid, you chose to embrace a broken soul.

Dating can go so wrong sometimes. And we've got the audio to prove it. This morning we had our listeners call in about the worst date they have ever been on - and boy, they did not disappoint. 

Peter Weber from "The Bachelor" took a contestant to a Chase Rice concert for a date night. What was the problem? The contestant he took out on the date, just so happened to recently be dating Chase Rice. Awkward.

We've all had bloody noses before and sometimes you just can't get them to stop!  Andie's daughter, Tori, had an unexpected nose bleed at the doctor's office while getting her flu shot. After an hour, they found out that spraying Afrin up each nostril will stop the bleeding. 

Our intern Shannon had her own remedy of stopping nose bleeds. She says to put a piece of a brown paper bag under your top lip and against your gums. It will dry out your gums and hit a pressure point to stop the nose from bleeding.

Evelyn nominated her mother, Norma, who has battled with breast cancer twice. Norma was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 1977, a time when there wasn’t enough awareness of the disease. In 1996, Norma was diagnosed for a second time. Evelyn says, “She carried on to raise 3 kids and 11 grandkids with fervent love and life.” She is a war hero and Evelyn’s superhero.

We thank Norma for her bravery and Evelyn for sharing her mother’s story.
