In between episodes 24 and 25 has been a flurry of gigs.
Straight after recording episode 24, Andy and Scott went straight into Leeds for an awesome night watching Lastelle who were awesome, supported by Blight Town who they'd also recommend.
From there, Scott took his family to London to see Wargasm playing at HERE at the Outernet. This is an interesting night including squeaky bum time with age restriction requirements and ultimately, a fantastic night.
And then Andy and Rach spent a day at Novocaine in Sheffield. A whole day of bands.
Pull up a chair and listen to the break down, were the bands good? Who do they recommend? Open your Spotify, Apple, Amazon or whatever music service you use and get ready to listen to the recommended bands.
Spoiler alert, in the pod, Here are the list of bands and some of Andys thoughts on them:
They were awesome, a new style of metal and and energy which was so refreshing they had a song called rain maker and it just went off mosh pits, walk of deaths and head banging songs 10/10
They were the highlight of the day for me and I got the chance to have a chat with them when I bought some merchandise, they were just so humble and appreciated that we took the time to say hi and genuinely think I made some new friends.they played a song called black heart and it got me in the feels I love when metal bands tone it down a touch and then do a big finish.10/10
A female fronted band, if you like enter shikari and spirit box this band is the best parts of both them band some sing along bits and you genuinely just lose your mind watching them I highly recommend you see them.8/10
A female fronted band, I wasn’t keen to start with the music was mint but you couldn’t hear the singer clearly but when they adjusted the sound the last 4/5 songs were really good the song I really liked was through the looking glass a solid 7/10
A local band from Sheffield must of had a good following we missed half the set which I’m a bit gutted about but I needed a sit down I’m just gonna have to accept I’m getting old. But they were awesome the songs I saw. 8/10
These were phenomenal if you want good time lots of fun and song along and the guy got everyone involved they played a song called these days and the song along he got it going the crowd was quiet so he did it again it was so infectious because once you knew the words every one was singing 9/10 it’s only 9 because I just wanted more plus the shirt he was wearing Rach bought for me.
If you like alter bridge and mastodon you will love these they came on first band we saw and I was like this is gonna be awesome and they were so tight they did a cover of locked out of heaven by Bruno mars but metalled it up and turned it into an absolute banger 8/10
