Angelic Sitdown With Mickey Angel

In this episode, join Mickey Angel as they have as their guest one of the co-founders of Accessibility Arts, the ever-so-comedic and more DK, where they discuss poetry and music & find out they were both at the same gig!!!

EDIT: My friend was named AVA, not Maya (I don't know why I called them Ava; she spoke to me about it next time I saw them)

As always, you can find DK on Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/dk4poetry?utm_source=ig_web_button_share_sheet&igsh=ZDNlZDc0MzIxNw==) as well as check out Accessibility Arts on Instagram as well (https://www.instagram.com/accessabilityarts?utm_source=ig_web_button_share_sheet&igsh=ZDNlZDc0MzIxNw==)

You can also check out Mickey Angel on Instagram (@Thehiddenangel001) as well as check out their Linktree to find their Substack, which is the second home of Angelic Sitdown for those who don't use Spotify

Until September 2026, get cosy, and all you have to do is Click & Enjoy

Join Mickey Angel as they go truly local for this episode and have their good friend, Brett Rea from Gazebo Theatre, as a guest on this episode.

They discuss different poetry styles, humble beginnings, amongst others

Unfortunately, Brett doesn't have a social media page for their poetry, but it was an honour to have them on the show regardless, and he says where you can find him at the end, so no spoilers!

If you liked what you heard, then you can follow Mickey on Instagram (@Thehiddenangel001) as well as check the previous episodes on Spotify, as well as their second home on Substack, and in addition check out the companion playlist which contains the music mentioned on this and all future episodes of season '26

Next episode will have someone whom Mickey has shared the stage many times in Birmingham, but who that is, you'll have to wait and see

So as always, click & enjoy and see you in the next episode

So we are now at the end of June and the start of July; consider this my final sendoff to what has been an EXPLOSIVE & FANTASTIC June 2026, where yours truly celebrated 10 years as a poet, which I thank you all for; I am eternally blessed to know you all. Anyways, this is a special Q&A where I answer the questions that I would usually ask my guests on Angelic Sitdown so you can all dive into how my brain works and more!!

So all you have to do is click & enjoy!!!

In this special anniversary episode of Angelic Sitdown join Mickey Angel (as they celebrate 10 years being a poet) and their guest for this episode the multi-talented scouse poet Ken Paver as they talk about Ken's fascination with Roger McGough, explore unexpected twists and turns within the episode & all in all have a jolly old fun time

As always you can check out Ken on Instagram @kenpaver for all the things he does and more as well as following Mickey Angel themself on Instagram @Thehiddenangel001

You can also check out their substack for the past episodes of Angelic Sitdown as well as event + book reviews they upload as well

Next episode in July will have a guest that knows Mickey inside and out and is a good personal friend of theirs but until then as Mickey says "Click & Enjoy" plus "Until next time Goodbye"

It's May, and you know what that means, to borrow the famous quote from Justin, but edit it a bit: "It's gonna be a new episode of Angelic Sitdown!!"

Indeed, episode 4 has arrived and with it comes my good friend from Birmingham, host of Pretty Privilege Poetry, Astrid Solace. If you enjoyed this episode, then check out the other episodes on both Spotify & Substack, where they will be uploading the month after Spotify, which, in this episode's case, will be uploaded in June) Cheers again for all the support you all have been giving me regarding the podcast on Spotify, as well as its second home on my Substack

Next episode is set to be a banger with my guest for that, I'll say no more because of spoilers, until then, I'll see you soon!

In this episode, join Mickey Angel and the guest, a good friend of theirs from Gazebo, Victoria Tew, as they have a right old HOOT!

Apologies again for the audio quality when it gets to the part where Mickey talks with Victoria

But in the meantime, you can follow Victoria on Instagram (@Victoria_mtrx), as well as my good friends at Gazebo Theatre (Gazebotheatreuk)

AND AS ALWAYS, you can find me on Instagram (@Thehiddenangel001)

Check out the rest of the episodes of Angelic Sitdown on Spotify and Substack (For those that don't use Spotify)

The next episode in May is set to be interesting, as my guest has a particular "Privilege"!!

But until then ENJOY!!!

In this episode, join yours truly as I end the era of Multi-Guest episodes with two of the most unique of poets in the forms of Lee McShane & Courtney Ward. This will probably be one of the most hilarious episodes to listen to as well as in some portions of the episode.

If you want to check them out afterwards, you can follow Courtney on Instagram: @court_ward, as well as check out @btspectrum_

While you can check out Lee on Instagram: @the_lee_mcshane & his poetry page on Instagram: @leemcshanepoetry

Enjoy and keep an eye out for the next episode in April, where I'll have someone special to me in a way you'd never expect

In the returning episode of my podcast, join yours truly as I have not only one of the West Midlands' rising stars, not only one of the busiest and artiest people I know, but more importantly, one of my poetry best friends, AKA the brains behind Sandwell Stanzas, Charley McDermott!!

NOTE: Due to me using a new recording tool in Riverside I have removed the song breaks from this, and all future episodes of Angellc Sitdown as well as Rhythmical Brain Dig. I'll explain the future regarding those two segments in an upcoming video on my Instagram @Thehiddenangel001

Check out the stuff Charley does on Instagram @Charley_mwc
