Anibros Podcast

Whoa and wow, welcome to Anibros! We grab Patrick again and review Flowers of Evil and talk about a bunch of other anime we’re watching. You won’t want to miss our exciting opinions on all the hottest airing series, or our gripping explanations of Nadia: Secret of Blue Water and Suisei no Gargantia even though we haven’t finished watching either of those.

It’s rough growing up in Japan, you don’t even know.

Along with this great new episode we also have a new website and all kinds of big plans for the upcoming Kumoricon. If you’ll be in Vancouver, WA during Labor Day weekend come have fun at our anime jeopardy panel on August 31st. Don’t miss it! If you do miss it though we’ll understand.

Those Anibros have rolled back into town and they’re hooting and hollering about a new show. That’s right, Stella Women’s Academy, High School Division Class C3 has captured Laven’s heart and he tells all just how wonderful these guns (and to a lesser extent, girls) are. Welcome to the jungle! I will survive!

Two tastes that go great together?! It’s more likely than you think.

We also go on about No Matter How I Look At It, It’s You Guys’ Fault I’m Unpopular! and a few other airing shows that left an impression. Between you and me, this episode is a little out of date already because right after we recorded it we immediately watched a lot more stuff so I’m hoping as much as you are that the next episode comes very soon. Until then here’s your fix!

In this episode we recognize some recent anime with well thought-out and meaningful honors in our first seasonal awards ceremony. Spring 2013 was host to some very animated productions and we at Anibros look forward to each and every show next season as well.

The suspense is killing these three, how about you?

On top of “covering” two seasons in one shorter-ish episode, we also may have avoided spoiling anything! Let us know what you’re watching.

Laven’s cousin is moving to Japan and has given us his anime collection to keep an eye on. We take inventory of everything and discuss manga, anime DVDs, VHS, novels, art books, bootlegs, and more.

We’re not bragging that this haul is mind-blowing or anything, pretty sure he just handed this stuff over out of pity because he’s gonna have first dibs on the good stuff from now on.

The Anibros are back in the saddle with a review of Shinkai Makoto’s newest film Garden of Words. They also do a semi-review of America’s favorite animated film Spirited Away, so get hyped!

This little thumbnail doesn’t fully represent how pretty that damn tree is.

I don’t know what else to tell you this time, except to remind you to get at us with review suggestions.
