JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders opens with Jotaro Kujo, the grandson of Joseph Joestar, believing himself to be possessed by an evil spirit. Joseph arrives in Japan and reveals that this presence is actually a Stand, a manifestation of the user's life energy. These powers have only recently awakened in the Joestar family because of the villainous DIO, who has somehow risen from his watery grave. When a dark curse threatens someone they love, the Joestars and their new allies resolve to find DIO and defeat him once and for all. Released in 2018, the film gained infamy when its marketing team started a beef with internet critics. That beef is sadly the only real meat in this movie. The only other ingredients here are disconnected plot points, multiple framing devices, and very tiny cars. To optimize your listening experience, we recommend that you grab a big bowl of peas and head to the loudest club you can find. 200 Episodes of Anime Was Not A Mistake, in this economy!?! The episodes keep comin and they don't stop comin. Based on the genre-defining game of the same name, Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie is here to bring us back to the '90s. The criminal organization Shadowloo, led by the domineering M. Bison, is abducting and brainwashing powerful fighters from across the globe. Bison intends to take over the world using these fighters as his assassins. Shadowloo sets its sights on the wandering martial artist Ryu. Unable to locate the fighter directly, M. Bison decides to target Ryu's friend Ken Masters instead. Meanwhile, Interpol agent Chun-Li and Air Force Major Guile team-up to bring Shadowloo down. Ryu and his allies face an ultimatum: submit to Bison's will or take the fight to the dictator himself. Anime Was (Not) A Mistake keeps skating up that hill, with Sk8 the Infinity. Reki may be wrecked, but on this episode a skating tournament is announced and our characters get a little bit deeper. After recovering in a beach episode our main cast deals with toxic relationships, inferiority complexes, and a confusion between love and pain. All typical anime/podcast faire. However, we still have a few episodes to go and who knows where the slick treads of this podcast may lead? Will Reki and Langa cement their "friendship?" Only Dan and Jonathan can be sure, as they cling to their boards in uncertainty...

A controversial continuation of a beloved game, Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children has been summoned for today's podcast episode. Two years after Meteorfall destroyed Midgar, Cloud Strife and Tifa Lockhart have built a new life in the city of Edge. Humanity faces a new crisis in the form of geostigma, a dangerous disease seemingly carried by the Lifestream itself. Burdened by this illness and his own grief, Cloud has become distant from his friends. A trio of silver-haired youths arrive at Edge in search of their lost "mother." Our heroes quickly deduce that this so-called Reunion will lead to the resurrection of the villainous Sephiroth. AVALANCHE must return to battle in order to stop this apocalyptical plot, while Cloud will have to find the resolve to face his nemesis once again. Things are...much more complicated than this simple blurb can convey. In The Incredible Melting Man, an astronaut (named Steve, just Steve) returns to Earth as the lone survivor of a disastrous mission to Saturn. But Steve is feeling a bit under the weather. Being exposed to solar radiation filtered through the rings of Saturn (we think) has turned him into a melting man! Steve embarks on slow-paced rampage, consuming as many people as possible in order to survive extraterrestrial ailment. Opposing him is the very unpleasant Dr. Ted Nelson, the very hungry General Perry, and a variety of very unlikeable townspeople. Before listening to today's episode of Anime Was (Not) A Mistake, we advise our listeners to have two buckets ready. One bucket is for goo, the other is for lemons (it won't make sense in context).
