Anime Was (Not) A Mistake

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Battle Tendency reaches its fiery conclusion on today's episode of Anime Was (Not) A Mistake. Joseph Joestar faces Pillar Man Wammu in a chariot race, where a single mistake means certain death. Even when a victory at St. Moretz seems possible, Kars confirms that he has more up his sleeves than mere bone blades. JoJo has outsmarted numerous enemies before, but will his wits be enough to overcome the Ultimate Lifeform? In the final five episodes of Battle Tendency, you can expect shocking reveals, death-defying moves, and villainous transformations that even Frieza could admire. Another Joestar generation is coming to a close, but true evil never stays buried for long...

The fight for mankind's survival reaches its (snowy) peak as our coverage of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Battle Tendency continues. Before making his final stand, Esidisi steals the Red Stone of Aja and attempts to send it to his fellow Pillar Men. JoJo and his friends race to Switzerland to secure the relic before Kars and Wammu can enact their plan. Instead, the stone falls into the hands of a familiar cyborg. As the battle at St. Moritz escalates, our heroes learn surprising truths and suffer tragic losses. The story of the Pillar Men is nearing its conclusion, but dawn hasn't broken just yet. If you can you only remember one thing about Anime Was (Not) A Mistake, let it be the beauty of our bubbles.

It is time once more, to channel your Hamon into your inner being and ascend an oil strewn tower with JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Battle Tendency. On Anime Was (Not) A Mistake this week Dana and Jonathan get into a brawl over squid ink pasta and regrettably have to train together under Lisa, Lisa, in the hopes of showing three ancient pillar men what for. Of course, with it being a very bizarre adventure, expect the unexpected. One second we could be dislocating our own spines to dodge fatal blows, and the next could have us dipping out of the way of boiling blood, leaking from someone's fingertips. Also is there something on my back....I really hope that it's not an entire brain latched onto me? Why aren't you answering? Do you have a pigeon in your throat or are you just happy to hear from us? Thanks for listening!

Our podcast jumps back into the Joestar mythos with JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Battle Tendency. Joseph, the short-tempered grandson of Jonathan Joestar, arrives in New York City with his grandmother Erina. Joseph is attacked by the fallen Hamon master Straizo, now an immortal vampire, and becomes aware of a looming threat. An elderly Robert E.O. Speedwagon is being held captive by Nazis, who are experimenting on a mysterious Stone Pillar. JoJo travels to Mexico to rescue his old family friend, but he may be too late to stop the dangerous lifeform sleeping within that stone. We invite our listeners to crack open a cold Coco Cola and don a 100% beetle scarf for today's Hamon-infused episode of Anime Was (Not) A Mistake!

On Anime Was Not A Mistake, of course we believe in spirits, we record in a bloomin bar! We are taking a look at the love to hate, hate to love classic, Last Night in Soho (2021). This film is spooky, but not due to the ghosts, but due to the ham-fisted dialogue. Sit down with a pint and get ready to stir up the spooks of the past with us. Jonathan recalls a time when he Vespas flowed and when  any young ingénue could easily find a start in the Big Smoke. Dan Ryan only remembers the vague cops and the taste of toad in the hole... Anyways. climb the mirrored staircase with us and listen to the discordant chords of the "Swinging Sixties"

Just in time for Halloween, our Sinister Six event rears its ugly head with 2017's The Bye Bye Man. After discovering a strange nightstand (yes, you're reading that correctly), a trio of college students are haunted by a ghoulish entity known as the Bye Bye Man. He's got coins, a dog, a coat, and an unexplained loved of trains. Elliot, who is sadly our main character, searches for answers in order stop this deadly curse. His quest leads him to the local library and nowhere else, really. All the while, Elliot and his friends descend into madness as the Bye Bye Man grows closer. Probably. The Bye Bye Man is pretty hands-off, all things considered. We invite you to light up a burrito and grab a slice of sad pizza for today's mayonnaise-filled episode of Anime Was (Not) A Mistake! Don't think it, don't say it! (unless you're recommending our podcast to your friends)

Anime Was (Not) A Mistake returns after a bit of a hiatus with the next part Ouran High School Host Club! On today's episode we have sibling rivalries, naughty boy types, the sun, the shore, and some things that haven't aged all too well... Anyways, the antics of this host club always bely a certain deeper meaning. I'm sure that Dan and Renge could ague about the different strata of shota for days. Jonathan is just going to choose to sip on a cool drink  at the indoor resort. It's good to be back!
