The 11th of January marked the one-year anniversary of the death of Ken Hembrow.

Ken was stopped on his motorbike at a traffic light when a four-wheel drive hit him from behind on his commute to work. 

The driver of the four-wheel drive was charged with careless driving, received a six-month sentence, which was suspended after two months, and lost his licence for two years.

Ken's wife, Chrissy Hembrow told Sofie Formica on 4BC Afternoons, "Basically now it's saying that you can go and knock someone off your motorbike, no matter how open you are about how you dislike them, you'll get eight weeks prison and then, you know, that's your maximum sentence."
