Anointing The Sick

May's 'Best Of' lists will soon be upon us but lest we forget, April was an awesome month for releases particularly for death and thrash metal albums which is reflected in some of the bands whose new albums made my 'Dirty Dozen.' However, top of the tree is the immense funereal doom death sound of QAALM and to demonstrate what the podcast is all about, second is the Carcass on steroids pummel of PHARMACIST, two completely different ends of the extreme metal spectrum. If you want to investigate some of these bands more thoroughly, I have provided Bandcamp links here ~ https://www.deathrattlepodcast.com/2022/05/deathrattle-podcast-dirty-dozen-april.htmlSupport underground metal!!QAALMPHARMACISTFLAYED DISCIPLEENRAGEMENTTHE SCUMEND BOSSSENTIENT HORRORRUNECALLERSTATIC ABYSSMORBID CROSSBURNING LOSSDEAD HEADDownload and enjoy!!

Deathrattle Podcast has emerged once more to infect the airwaves. Sunday's Sacraments are to be delivered on Metalzone Radio although there is nothing gracious about this show. The filth pit has been emptied of Writhing Shadows, Putrid Evocation, Cartilage and Holy Death (again). The random pick is a live track from Pantera. I'm opening the show with a track from my March album of the month, 'Burn' by immense doom band Hereje.Blessed are ~HerejeDemiricous Mezzrow The Same RiverEcstatic VisionWrithing ShadowsDame Tu AlmaPutrid EvocationCartilageAnatomy of IHoly DeathGrey GiantPanteraBe anointed here each weekSunday - Metalzone Radio - 9pm UK@http://www.metalzone.gr/Tuesday - Downtuned Magazine & Radio - 6pmRipper Radio - 8pm@http://www.ripperradio.comTUESDAY/THURSDAY

There are riffs of every description in this show on Metalzone Radio whether they're slow, fast or mangled. I've been shoulder deep in the filth pit and dragged out 2 squirming little nasties from Tzompantli and Tenebro. The label spotlight falls on Portugal's Gruesome Records with 3 bands from that label, Vomit Bag Squad, Pitch Black and Sekta. The random pick to close the show is by Stone Mammoth. Here beginneth the lesson ~Doomsday ProfitDepressed ModeCarbon BlackDisquietTzompantliTenebroWo FatNightstalkerGnomeVomit Bag SquadPitch Black.SektaDragonbreedCredicHead In HandHössferatu (Off the 'Ferociously Stoned' tribute to Motorhead album)MaskinDawohlStone MammothListen to the shows here ~Sunday - Metalzone Radio - 9pm UK@http://www.metalzone.gr/Tuesday - Downtuned Magazine & Radio - 6pmRipper Radio - 8pm@http://www.ripperradio.comTUESDAY/THURSDAY

Tonights tiptoe into tinnitus on Metalzone Radio witnesses the usual carnage and mayhem on the airwaves. There's loads of new stuff and the random pick sweeps up a track from MERCYFUL FATE. The filth pit has dredged up a track from a new 2 track single by Holy Death. Deathrattle Podcast has escaped the Metalzone Radio shackles to bring you another dose of pain. From the vortex creating doom of Slomatics to the crusty deathgrind of Trenchgrinder with a revisit of two bands I've only recently featured, Palach and Weedevil because I'm enjoying their albums so much. The showpiece track is a new one from Somali Yacht Club. Their new album 'The Space' is now out through Season of Mist. This episodes pain inducers tonight are ~SlomaticsDomkraftSentient HorrorSeumFlayed DiscipleGithyankiThe ScumSystemHouse 33CarsonSkull FistSomali Yacht ClubCælibatusPalachWeedevilAkathartaTrenchgrinderYou can catch the show here each week here~Sunday - Metalzone Radio - 9pm UK@http://www.metalzone.gr/Tuesday - Downtuned Magazine & Radio - 6pmRipper Radio - 8pm@http://www.ripperradio.comTUESDAY/THURSDAY

Deathrattle Podcast frolics in the Metalzone Radio filth pit. Starting with the stoner grunge of Mano De Mono and ending with Aussie deathcore from Tomb Of Doom, there is the usual decimation inbetween. Prepare to be educated in the three R,s of underground metal.I'm highlighting three classic albums, 2 from Therion and 1 from Trouble, re released and remastered by Hammerheart Records. Filth corner has hawked up Belgian sludgsters Palach while the random pick is Lutharo.
