A shorter show than usual, but still packed full of horrors. Tonight, on Metalzone Radio I'm opening proceedings with the deep, shoegazy, doom pop of Seven Nines and Tens and closing with this week's (not so) random pick of Sleeping Child whose new album 'Supernovian Remnant' is due to be released in March (I think). Inbetween I'm bringing in the doom with Ocultum whose album 'Residue' has been given the vinyl treatment courtesy of Interstellar Smoke Records. The label spotlight remains on Robustfellow whose recent split series has been a mine of sludge bands. This week It's Radian and Silver Gallery. The Triple Thrash Treat section showcases the blackened death of Nocturnal Graves (Official), the brutal pummel of Encabulos and destructive, yet groovy AbsolumBands featured on tonights show ~Seven Nines and TensOcultumNecrophagousNIHILITYRadianSilver GalleryCrossbones CreedNocturnal Graves (Official)EncabulosAbsolumSorcererSleeping ChildTune in each week here ~Sunday - Metalzone Radio - 9pm UK@http://www.metalzone.gr/And chat about the music herehttps://metalzone.ishoutbox.com/Tuesday - Downtuned Magazine & Radio - 6pmRipper Radio - 8pm@http://www.ripperradio.comTUESDAY/THURSDAY

First show of 2022 starts tonight on Metalzone Radio. The Triple Thrash Treat opens proceedings with the ripping brutality of Wombbath, Silent obsession and Damned To Downfall. The first label spotlight of the year falls on Robustfellow who provide two bands from their awesome season 1 sludge/doom series Kasu Weri and TASER. The random pick is typical of the essence of the show with the mellow krautish tones of Causa Sui who follow the deathgrind blast of PAROK.This weeks highlighted bands are ~WombbathSilent obsessionDamned To DownfallDakhma ZDMDissenting MindsNever KenezzardCrystal ThroneSupermoonCruel FateExpungedKasu WeriTASERPAROKCausa SuiYou can listen here ~Sunday - Metalzone Radio - 9pm UK @http://www.metalzone.gr/ And chat about the music herehttps://metalzone.ishoutbox.com/Tuesday - Downtuned Magazine & Radio - 6pmRipper Radio - 8pm@http://www.ripperradio.comTUESDAY/THURSDAY

Doom gained top spot in my November favourites list with the album 'Blood' by ALTARETH and this genre in all its forms featured prominently throughout whether it be the monolithic drone of ACHE, the cosmic crunch of LOW ORBIT, or psych trance of CONFUSION MASTER. November was the strongest month for thrash, particularly the deathlier sounding style with ETERNAL EVIL, SAVAGE DEITY,and DEMONZTRATOR making the Tinnitusaur froth at the mouth.True death is represented by GODLESS and HYPERDONTIA. The new KHEMMIS sounded more 'metal' than ever and GREEN DESERT WATER released one of the most soulful, bluesy stoner albums in ages. My biggest surprise was the band SICKOMANIA whose self titled full length debut is a total thrashing ripper. If you dig what these bands are doing, you can support them by clicking their Bandcamp links here.https://www.deathrattlepodcast.com/2021/12/deathrattle-podcast-dirty-dozen.htmlALTARETH ~ BloodGODLESS ~ States of ChaosGREEN DESERT WATER ~ Black HarvestSICKOMANIA ~ SickomaniaACHE ~ The Unbeatable Defects of HumanityKHEMMIS ~ DeceiverETERNAL EVIL ~ The Warriors Awakening Brings The Unholy SlaughterSAVAGE DEITY ~ Decade of SavageryDEMONZTRATOR ~ Sinister Forces of HatredHYPERDONTIA ~ Hideous EntityLOW ORBIT ~ Crater CreatorCONFUSION MASTER ~ Haunted

Deathrattle Podcast escaped its shackles to present to you the latest batch of heinous hymns . Starting with the brutal assimilation of Otargos and ending with this weeks random pick, the Hendrixian jams of The Outskirts Of Infinity. I'd forgotten how good these guys are. This weeks Diaries of Doom featured Luciferica, Curse of Eibon and Funeral. The label spotlight this week fell on Magnetic Eye Records with a track off each of the labels tributes to AC/DC including RIFFLORD and Besvärjelsen.Into this churning mixture went ~OtargosRestless SpiritMalignant AltarDethonatorVomitRIFFLORDBesvärjelsenLucifericaCurse of EibonFuneralObscurialNoxisPhantom DruidThe Outskirts Of InfinityListen each week here ~Sunday - Metalzone Radio - 9pm UK @http://www.metalzone.gr/ And chat about the music herehttps://metalzone.ishoutbox.com/Tuesday - Downtuned Magazine & Radio - 6pmRipper Radio - 8pm@http://www.ripperradio.comTUESDAY/THURSDAY

Its partytime at the crematorium! Balloons and streamers are hung between the caskets in celebration of the excellent tracks played this week on Deathrattle Podcast hosted by Metalzone Radio. Triple thrash treat, as usual, featuresd 3 awsome death metal bands with no thrash in sight. There isn't a huge amount of doom on this show but Tenebral Rift casts a bleak, grim shadow over it, along with Evoken (Official), I'm playing a track off the greatest doom album ever, 'Quietus' which is my random pick to end the show. The spotlight once again falls on High Roller Records who have reissued 2 fantastic albums by The RodsJoin me tonight where I'll be playing tracks by ~FireHouseUnder The ChurchHusqwarnaHRedemptorThe RodsBlackhearthGenocide PactNekromantTenebral RiftVictoryKing BuffaloJerky DirtStormTokerEvoken Listen to the show each week here ~Sunday - Metalzone Radio - 9pm UK @http://www.metalzone.gr/ And chat about the music herehttps://metalzone.ishoutbox.com/Monday - Hand Of Doom - 8pmhttps://www.handofdoomradio.com/how-tTuesday - Downtuned Magazine & Radio - 6pmRipper Radio - 8pm@http://www.ripperradio.comTUESDAY/THURSDAY

The straight jacket has been momentarily loosened. This is a real sweet and sour show with lots of 'proper metal' courtesy of the label under this weeks spotlight High Roller Records. Of course, proceedings do get nasty and the triple thrash treat is here with ESTERTOR, WarCall and Demonologist.
