Doom gained top spot in my November favourites list with the album 'Blood' by ALTARETH and this genre in all its forms featured prominently throughout whether it be the monolithic drone of ACHE, the cosmic crunch of LOW ORBIT, or psych trance of CONFUSION MASTER. November was the strongest month for thrash, particularly the deathlier sounding style with ETERNAL EVIL, SAVAGE DEITY,and DEMONZTRATOR making the Tinnitusaur froth at the mouth.True death is represented by GODLESS and HYPERDONTIA. The new KHEMMIS sounded more 'metal' than ever and GREEN DESERT WATER released one of the most soulful, bluesy stoner albums in ages.
