Another Day Above Ground

Hanukkah is here and if you are like me, you know very little about it. That's why the Three Boomers decided to get in touch with speaker, comedian, and musician David Glickman to learn more. Through David's perspective, we see Hanukkah as a festival of laughs.

Everyday is a day to give thanks, but with Thanksgiving, we also get a four day weekend. Join the three boomers as we examine the meaning of thankfulness with Michele Medrano, minister at Mile Hi Church in Colorado. She makes some great points, and we make some great jokes.

This week, the three boomers, Dale Irvin, Tim Slagle, and Carolyn Strauss, take a look at the golden age of comedy with veteran comedian and fellow boomer Ken Severa. Learn about comedy; what it was, what it is, and where it's going.

It may be the end of the growing season but it's never to early to think about gardening next year. In this episode The Three Boomers discuss gardening with expert gardener Dave Title. Dave is a boomer and has great advice for boomers who want to garden. In his philosophy, "Pulling up weeds is better than pushing up daisies."

In our ongoing series of Celebrities Living, Dead, and Fictional, which you may remember featured Winston Churchill, Bette Davis, Santa Claus, and others.  This week we interview the creator of the carved Halloween pumpkin. Jack O'Lantern is the first man to carve the pumpkin into a Halloween decoration. Learn the history of the Jack O'Lantern and have fun along the way.

Join Dale Irvin, Tim Slagle, and Carolyn Strauss as we experience the "coast music" Of Jed Clampit. Jed is a singer and songwriter who has written for, and toured with Willy Nelson. He's got stories and he's got music, and best of all, he's a boomer just like us.

This week we combine the comedy with music and the result is fantastic.

Dale, Tim, and Carolyn talk with Sandra Long, an expert on the use of the internet application, LinkedIn. Usine LinkedIn puzzles me and may puzzle you too, so take a listen and become unpuzzled.

Retirement is on the minds of all baby boomers. What are we going to do? Can we afford to do it? What's the next stage? Our guest this week is Tom Wilson, the author of Next Stage, a book all about boomers and retirement. Join Dale Irvin, Tim Slagle, and Carolyn Strauss as we interview Tom and prepare for whatever is coming next.

Dale. Tim, and Carolyn talk to speaker Thom Singer who urges boomers to try something diffenent to make their lives better.

Join Dale, Tim, and Carolyn as they chat with comedian, author, radio host and raconteur, fellow boomer, Dobie Maxwell. Dobie talks about comedy, wrestling, political correctness and life in general. This is one funny show.
