Another Day, Another Pod! episode 550| The final episode 🙏🙏🙏🙏

Well, it's the end of an era, Ive decide to shutdown the ADAV series to concentrate on some family issues. And at 550 shows, i think I've achieved way more than i thought. The experience was great, I've become a lot better at editing which dong it everyday does. And for the 4-6 hours of research and filming and uploading I'm really only getting roughly 10 people watching. And as you know I'm all about value and it really doesn’t make time sense anymore. I want to thank all of you that have supported me from a moron with a camera and no fear of being in front of the camera. To a very enjoyable conversation at times and frustrated you tuber at other times. I want to thank @Rodemic for their annual podcast competition which made me work harder, and my sister channels for their support @ingaf and @MarkHoltze 2 fantastic channels I really think you need to support. Im not going anywhere my photo journeys which are my passion will continue I'm still months behind. And heaps more to come, I’ll still do product reviews as well and the fishing videos will also continue. Thanks again to all and its been a lot of fun…

Autel has announced its 2 new series that were leaked last week, the NANO & NANO+ , The Lite & Lite +. With out a doubt the best release this year that Nano series will be a huge seller. Nano+ 1/1.28” CMOS sensor, RYYB pixels 2.44um size so great for low light shooting ! phase detect and dual pixel AF and 50mp photos!

The Nano has 1/2 CMOS sensor 4K 30 fps, 3axis gimbal as well 48mp photos and and you have choice of 4 colours orange ,white, red & grey. Subject tracking is in their with 3 lots of sensors forward , rear and downward which is awesome for a Sub 250gram drone. 6.2 miles range for transmission at 2.7k 30fps so plenty there for long shoots. And awesome record sound on your controller while flying sounds great , as you can voice over your shoot at the same time very handy if not editing footage for a while.

28mins flying time and the Nano starts at $649 usd and + at $799.

The lite midrange series set to go up against the air 2s from DJI. Looks pretty sharp too. 3 colours Orange , Grey & White. 1/1.28” sensor for the list and 1” for the + models again CMOS and RYYB so should be great for low light shooting. The + has worlds 1st 4 axis gimbal allowing for vertical video perfect for direct to social feeds ! The Lite has 4K 30 fps HDR and the + gets 6K 30fps, and 50p photos . They both get 7.4 miles range and 40mins battery time which will equal the new Mavic pro 3 still not released ? All 4 models should go on sale in October, would not be surprised if delays tho like everything else hopefully in our shops by Xmas at least.

Rumour mill is fired up, about Go Pro 10 overheating issues. A few creators have put videos up saying 20 mins is all you get before it overheats especially in 120fps 4K. For a company that is struggling financially, this could be the death stroke. Lets hope its just a protection system and a firmware patch can fix it for their sake.

England set to be the first country to mandate new houses must have an EV charger as part of the build. A great step i think and something people would forget a lot the logistical side of it. Whats strange to me is why haven’t houses been required to have solar power installed as minimum require equipment as well and they have been around for years ?

Big leaks for the new Autel drones due soon , A Mini, Evo 3, Evo lite, rumours of 2 models of the Mini version. One with obstacle avoidance for tracking options. 10 km range is fixed no other specs but 4K 60 would put it above the Mini2 from DJI.

And then there is the Autel EVO Lite that is aimed at professional content creators. With a maximum flight time of 40 minutes, this drone will also have two iterations:

We can expect these drones to capture 4K video at 60fps with a host of social media-friendly, smart shooting presets. Three-way obstacle avoidance should be a given. And there’s also an interesting “vertical shooting” mode that would allow the operator to switch between horizontal and vertical angles with a single click.

According to the leaked spec sheet, the EVO III will have a maximum flight time of 38-40 minutes and dual-band high-definition image transmission with up to 10 km flight range. The drone will offer omnidirectional obstacle avoidance and will also sport a dedicated fisheye lens.

Also on a sad note he R3 and 2 new lenses announced last week the 16mm & 100-400mm have been put on Canons supply issue list ?? Apparently they didn’t force how many people would preorder them..

Lucid Air Dream edition has taken the crown for longest EV range with official EPA rating of 520miles(830km) ! The range variant has 933hp and gets to 60 in 2.7 secs! the power version will do it in 2.5 and 1100hp but loses range. $169000 usd price includes free charging for 3 years… Looks wise look exactly like a VW Arteon ???

Nissans Z car is a flashback to my youth with one of the coolest looking body styes we’ve had in a long time. A 400hp twin turbo v6 3.0litre Engine. 6 speed manual transmission , LSD, and launch control. Their is a 9 speed auto trans there if your using for around town and not your weekend life revitaliser ! Inside the styling is luxury and a 9” screen to control all of the features looks great and not like its been bolted on was an afterthought. The triple gauge cluster on the dash is awesome and will hep old racers rekindle their youth again form the 90’s when they were all the rage ! Due for sale in the Spring in USA this will sell real well, with reports rumoured of around $65000 aud when it finally gets here.

So expect either the 9 to drop again overnight or the 10 be overpriced ! time will tell if his is any better, Go Pro the original has been suffering in the last couple of years. insta 360 has taken the wind from their sales and there share price has plunged dramatically. Another Day, Another Vlog! 545

Canon R3 launch has not disappointed generating a Buzz unlike anything else for a while since the R5! The sound of the 30 fps firing on @gordanlaings you tube review was very cool and crazy to think so man RAW files could be firing off ! 4k 60fps is obviously good and also in RAW 10 bit internal is very good. The 4K is 120fps and downsampled form the 6K so very good yet again. For a sports journalists photo camera the video specs are pretty crazy and probably more realistic then the R5. The new Techno Hot Shoe offers advantages as well but the acc are all delayed till November. Strange decisions on this are 1- sd & cf express cards. Other is micro HDMI port, it's a big body and built for pros why not a pro HDMI port ? My last gripe I guess is Canon constantly saying its weather sealing is “as good as the 1DXm3” . If you go to the 1DX models none of them have an IP rating. So exactly what is it ok to do with this camera that won’t void wty ? How does a newcomer know the limits.

Razer had a new release of their, products and games last night. The stand out was the new Basilisk mouse $69 usd $100 aud roughly. 10 +1 infinite adjustable buttons, allow you to map your mouse to your exacting needs. The other new feature was the Optical laser switch system. Negating the mechanical switch and the inherent problems like lag and bounce to give 100% accurate contact. Their new world wide headquarters in Singapore is a great choice as its an amazing city and others benefits of the western world mixed with asian culture. Im sure will being a gaming mecca!

Apple 🍏 - New iPad base model gets a new A13 chip , true tone iOS 15, and not much else. wi fi version with 256gb $874 aud.

iPad Mini gets a whole redesign and looks like a big iPhone , 8.3” liquid retina display ? 500nits of brightness, touch id on the power button thats fine. USB-C huge ! 5G ? Why not just hotspot your iPhone, and save a few hundred dollars. Rear camera is new F1.8 decent for low light, 4K video up to 60. Avail 24th-28th sept . This actually was the best release of the show ..

Apple watch series 7 !WOW what a massive disappointment it should be called 6s as the square sides everyone was excited about never happened! It became more rounder and they trimmed the bezels. Woop De Doo ! It did get faster charge and apparently more rugged but zero screen protection. IP6x rating only means dust won’t get in! So still useless for harsh work Environments. Usb-c charging sees 80% in 40 mins.

IP13- Mini, pro and max

Mini 5.4’ IP+ pro 6.1” Max 6.7” displays , smaller notch by 20%, mini and IP 800 nits of brightness up to 1200 in HDR , pro & max 1000-1200. A15 chip 5nm 40% more oomph than last year and all cameras now run sensor shift tech. Battery life on all models up by 1.5-2.5 hours relative to functions. Pro and max get a macro and the new main cam is F 1.5 and pixels even bigger 1.9 um. Some new lenses, 7elements. Cinematic mode allows shifting of focus points during and after in post. It didn’t look very good not smooth like a good focus pull would be but in its first gen so i guess let it go. Pro res raw 4k video 4k 30fps and if you only get the 128gb phone you can only do 1080 @30 this will be because of the HUGE amounts of data pro res uses. 1tb storage & Some photo presets get thrown in for free. Would i buy it ? NO the cinematic mode may come as update for 12 series no reason not to. And apart from some new lenses and new chip its still the same phone. Price Pro with 1tb $2569 aud Max is $2780.

Apple have changed the apple care program to a monthly subscription service so it never runs out !

Well tonight is the big night for Canon!(8PM EST) C/Rumours has posted the USA press release for tonight’s event before it’s even up on their site.

“EOS R3 features a Canon designed and manufactured 24.1-megapixel back-illuminated stacked CMOS sensor. The sensor is the first of its kind from Canon, and when combined with the DIGIC X processor, delivers a high-speed readout allowing for continuous blackout-free shooting1 at up to 30 fps in electronic (silent) shutter mode and up to 12 fps in the mechanical shutter, with minimum rolling electronic shutter distortion. The combination also increases the high sensitivity, light-capturing efficiency of a native ISO range of 100-102400, expandable up to 204,800 for still images. ““The EOS R3 camera doesn’t just capture spectacular still images, it also packs impressive video specs as well. The camera is capable of shooting 6K 60p RAW and 4K 120p 10-bit uncropped video with Canon Log 3 support” THE 6K at 60fps was something new that hadn’t been reported and sounds like there is a fair bit in this camera for video ! And $6000 usd price locked in so that’s good news I think.

Also the info on the lenses was dropped as well confirming what we’ve already reported so no new surprises there. And the acc for the new style hot shoe mount will also be released but not available till November apparently? That’s the DM-E1D microphone, AD-E1 adaptor, and ST-E10 Speedlight transmitter for multiple light control.

Xiaomi has released their smart glasses! Micro LED optical imaging tech, puts a heads up display in front of your eyes. This development announcement will be part of their show tomorrow on Sept 15th. You’ll be able to take calls, take photos, navigate and translate! Very similar idea to Facebook & Ray bans announced glasses the other day. So well probably get a little more info about them and the new 11T series phone as well after the show.

Nissan GTR 2022 was launched today in Japan. The flagship for the Nissan brand as we discussed the other day isn’t much overall difference in the body. It’s more of a finesse model being most likely the last dedicated ICE before it changes to Electric. 2 models T spec for traction and R spec for racing. Reduced weight up to 18kg suing carbon fibre as standard for a lot of body panels. Only 100 units to be made and a lottery will be done for what dealers get and where. You only have the next 2 weeks to apply to be in the lottery so get cracking!

Laowa’s new Argus 35 mm F 0.95 lens has been released and the images and video being shown is pretty darn special !Laowa Argus 35 mm f/0.95 FF is the fastest 35 mm and widest f/0.95 lens in the market. The optical performance is maximised by incorporating 1 ED glass element, 1 aspherical lens element and 4 high-refractive-index glass materials. $899 usd or $1250 aud is pretty reasonable for what you get form this gorgeous lens. Canon rumours has finally been able to get an accurate price for the soon to be released R3. rumours on twitter the other day of $11000 aud were false and happy to say it will be $6000 usd or $8200 aud about 3 grand cheaper then the Flagship 1DXm3. Also the sensor has been confirmed at 24mp which i think is ok but would of thought around he 30mp or 45mp range. remember this is not the flagship and that has always been a sports camera for journalists. the 1dx is only 20mp as they mostly use Jpeg and send direct to the papers and magazines direct. they don’t need high mp they need speed. My theory is that the R1 would be perfect platform for SPAD sensor 12mp to start with early next year. imagine 12mp 20000 fps and zero noise at 400000iso ! The perfect journalist camera. i guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Motorola leak this week with a true wireless charging unit “space charging” showing the unit charging 4 phones at once. It will only do 5w at the moment but previous units had only been able to do 1 phone at a time. The tech is still very early but can def envision in 5 years being the norm at coffee shops, and such.

Nissan will unveil its new GTR on you tube for japan market only on 14/9 at 1330 eastern coast time . This could be the last time we see a petrol GTR with hybrid already being touted and possible full electric with the coming full redesign of they epic car legend. They won’t be cheap and im sure he collectors will be lining up to grab a piece of history.

Danner will release their new James Bond 007 boots on the 16/9 no prices as yet but I'm a huge fan of their gear. Don’t leave home without a pair on my feet. These all black beasts will be a nice conversation piece and hella comfortable!

Mercedes unveiled its future of the G-Wagon the cult classic mafia staff car ! At the german auto show the full electric beast was given a full shot of voltage and looks that distinctive nasty ! Like to showcase MB new 200kw charging tech giving its cars 190 miles in 15 minutes of charge time ! Other then that the familiar beast has just had a brush of tech over it with a RGB makeover. The body and theme still remains the same, ready to start in the gangsta films of the 20’s.

Sigma released 2 new lenses last night for Sony and L mount alliance! The I series 90mm F2.8 DG DN & 24mm F2 DG DN contemporary lenses. All alloy bodies as per the I series mantra, weather sealed high quality items. Images I've send on a couple of channels have been sharp even down at F2.8. $639 usd (863 aud ) for both models is a little steep for 3rd party lenses but the competition there is plastic. Nice feature is that magnetic lens cap which is actually a handy idea.

OM Digital Solutions announced development of 2 new Zuiko PRO lenses coming. The ED 20mm F1.4 PRO & ED 40-150mm F4 PRO. No prices as yet and not much else to go on but nice to see the new company finally releasing something new!

Luminar Neo the last chapter in the AI based photo editing suite, has been released. $74 aud for the single computer licence. This is for the advanced photographer who’s looking to shave some time off their workflow. Features include relight scenes, remove blemishes like dirt spots automatically. Background replacement so not just sky anymore replace any background. Share directly to luminar form phone edit and then it will auto send back to phone.AI compositing infinite adjustability here to create a mosaic of multiple effects and photos into one masterpiece. Coming Xmas 21 preorder now. Sounds an interesting piece of tooling. And if you’ve already mastered the art of using their other offerings then this should be the next level up for you.

Kingston has released the XS2000 ssd portable hard drive. 2000mbs write speeds and up to 2TB of storage. IP55 rating and comes with the rubber shield to assist with drop protection. $524 on amazon aud, and $245 aud for 1TB. Looks quite nice and should be a decent offering with some financial savings over equivalent Sandisk or Samsung options.

Rayban and Facebook have teamed up to creat social glasses ! Inbuilt speakers and cameras in the Rayban frames Wayfarer style. capture and share instantly form your glasses is what hey are saying. Im sure the Porn companies are already buying up heaps of these ! Rayban Stories is the model name. 5mp camera multiple mics for talking on the phone, usb-c charging case. Wont motion capacity for storage or battery size but can store up to 500 photos and 30 30 sec video 1080hd. $489 aud ! wifi and only bluetooth 5.0. 6 colours and shapes and avail for prescription too.

Dji Om5 was released last night with some new tricks up its sleeve! obviously the leaked handle extension is there. Its 215 mm in extra length so you can use that better lens for an even better picture and still be in shot, handy. There is a new colour palette , Athens grey or sunset white (pink). The best new feature i think would be the magnetic fill light clamp. Taking that same great strong magnet clamp and putting adjustable brightness and colour temps very handy for sunrise and night filming. Available now for $240 aud . No mention of any water resistance which is an issue with any gimbal, so a minor refresh and styling with a handy new light acc but cant see much more new value if you already have the OM4. Fill light clamp sold separately so may work with Om4 ?

The 100-400mm is F5.6-8 IS has leaked ahead of the release next week. The Canon RF 100-400 f/5.6-8 IS USM has a minimum focusing distance of 88cm at 200mm, a maximum magnification of 0.41x at 400mm, and up to 6 stops of IS when paired with the EOS R5 or EOS R6. When using this lens with the EOS R or EOS RP, image stabilization is about 5.5 stops of correction.

Derek “Captain” Jeter was inducted not the hall of fame yesterday, in Cooperstown! I still remember watching him warm up in old yankee stadium. how amazing his arm was throwing seeds from half way between home and 1st to right filed fence without even trying ! A true gentleman of the game, and a great leader and awesome player to watch growing up .
