 Global automotive giant Toyota has announced it will be suspending production across 14 of its Japanese factories throughout September as it grapples with a global shortage of semi-conductors. Having already temporarily halted production at a handful of plants in August, today's announcement will see a significant number of sites affected worldwide – with at least 20 Toyota and Lexus models available in Australia on the list of those facing possible delays.  According to Reuters, the delays will cut the production of around 360,000 cars accounting for 40 per cent of Toyota's global monthly production with just 140,000 of those due to the Japanese plant closures, as Toyota's supply chains for plants in the United States, China, Europe and other Asian countries are also affected.

 The peak tourism body in Tasmania wants full vaccination an entry requirement for all visitors into the state. Tourism Industry Council of Tasmania CEO Luke Martin told the ABC: “People should be required to have a vaccine before entering Tasmania.” “Other states are going that way, we’ve seen Europe go that way. Tassie should lead and show everyone certainty and confidence.” Mr Martin did give a specific time frame as to when we wanted to make this happen but he continued to outline his plan and its importance.  “If we’re going to open up our borders, we want to protect the community and our own industry and part of that should be an expectation that if you get the Tas-E-Travel pass, the no-restriction travel, then you should have been expected to have had your two shots.” 

  ICAST 2021 , I normally do a run down video of the winners each year and unfortunately I couldn’t do it with  moving and other life stuff this year. But thought id just do a quick update on the winners that stood out this year for me. The biggest thing i noticed was that the past 3 years had one company take out best rods fresh and salt water-St Croix wasn’t a winner this year ? Very strange. But great to see the winner of Salt water was a smaller company not one of the big boys (Bull Bay Tackle Company) Banshee Rod – Bull Bay Rod. Daiwa out gunned Shimano in both salt and fresh water this year which I think is a big win for them. Kahuna Wagons
Sidekick Fishing & Beach Wagon looks like it will be a big seller. And with everything electric today and cordless the, Cutlery, Hand Pliers/Tools winner Bubba, Pro Series Cordless Electric Fillet Knife looks like a great fathers day present  to save the keen fisherman. And last but not least Hummingbird finally joined the live game with their MEGA live imaging unit.

   The Canon EOS R5c will also receive the accessory shoe form the R3, which makes a lot of sense.  C/Rumours has also been told that Canon may offer the accessory shoe as a paid upgrade for the Canon EOS R5. Although the source did say nothing was guaranteed, but Canon is actively talking about it. And with Teac making the 1st 3rd party XLR input to suit this shoe it looks to be a solid go ahead for the future of all Canon Cameras.
