  • Phinsider Radio – The latest news from Pauline, Hasan, Klassen and Allbright
We have an all-star lineup for you this week as we get ready for the NFL Draft.
Tony Pauline (@TonyPauline) gives us the latest rumors regarding the first round of the NFL Draft, including what he’s hearing about Josh Allen, Baker Mayfield and Josh Rosen. Where will Mayfield end up? Most likely in the AFC East, but will it be with the Dolphins? If it’s not Mayfield or even Rosen for Miami, what mid-round guy makes sense for Miami? Pauline answers that question and also gives insight as to what tight ends the Dolphins may be looking at.
Arif Hasan (@ArifHasanNFL) joins us to talk about his consensus big board and how we can look at the other mock drafts and big boards leading into the draft. He uses that data to talk to us about several players who may be a good fit for the Miami Dolphins. He also speaks about several players who may be slipping under the radar.
Derrik Klassen (@QBKlass) also joined us to talk about the QBs in the upcoming NFL Draft. Does he think Miami can afford to draft a QB in the first round? His answer deals with financials, but he also gives good insight on Ryan Tannehill. But, he does compare him to another quarterback who has had a string of bad luck. If the Dolphins don’t go quarterback in round one, who are some other guys they can pick up in the middle rounds?
The interview with Ben Allbright is a bombshell and it’s one you want to get to as soon as possible. He drops a name for the Dolphins at 11 that really no one is talking about. If this is in fact the pick for Miami at 11, I am sure that the Dolphins fan base will erupt in anger. Who is it? Tune in to find out. Hint: It starts right around the 49 minute mark.
To end the show, we answer your questions from Twitter and give you our best/worst possible selections for Miami in the first round.
This is the one episode you won’t want to miss as we head into the NFL Draft.

The NFL Draft is just under a week away and we’re here on Phinsider Radio to help you sort through all the smoke as we bring you the latest information from Davie regarding what the Miami Dolphins are currently thinking as we approach Thursday evening.
To help us sort that out, we were joined by Dan Kadar, NFL Draft Editor for SB Nation. What is he hearing about the Dolphins and who does he think they’ll end up with in the first round? Who are also some other guys the Dolphins can look at in the later rounds?
Before all the draft talk though, MC$, Surton the Creepy Soccer Dad and RosenHoutz dive into the Dolphins schedule for the upcoming season and also discus the uniform tweaks. What stands out most about the schedule? Hint: It doesn’t favor Miami.

With all the talk about the first and second round, we thought we’d give you some insight as to what to look for when we’re on day 2 and 3 of the draft – the day where most teams find value and build their depth, respectively.

  • Phinsider Radio - Interview w/ Kyle Crabbs of NDT Scouting and talking NFL Draft
This week on Phinsider Radio, we are joined by Kyle Crabbs of NDT Scouting. He breaks down the latest rumors of the NFL Draft, including his likely landing spot for Baker Mayfield. Hint: It’s in the top five. He also gives us an update on who the teams in the top ten are looking at.
In our interview with Crabbs, he touches on what he thinks the Miami Dolphins will do in round one and the ensuing rounds. Will Roquan Smith or Tremaine Edmunds be taken by San Francisco due to the latest news about Reuben Foster? Will Miami have someone there that fans will be happy with? Who does he think the best fit is for Miami? What does he think about this year’s tight end class? He answers all of these questions and more.
Following the interview with Crabbs, we lay out the Miami Dolphins draft plans as of this week. Will they target a quarterback in round one or do they have their sights set on another position? I can tell you they have three positions in mind for round one – tune in to find out which ones and what players they may be targeting.
We also tell you what we’ve been hearing in the other rounds of the draft and lay out the ideal Dolphins draft plan, according to those close to the situation.
We discuss the mega contract that Jarvis Landry received from Cleveland Browns. There’s not a lot of people out there saying the Dolphins should’ve paid him so we dive into other matters regarding the contract. Was it warranted for a guy who may not be a game changer?

  • Phinsider Radio - Breaking down the cornerback and safety prospects in the Draft
After discussing the linebacker and tight end positions over the past two weeks, the Phinsider Radio Crew is back to talk about prospects in the secondary. Like we have been doing with the other position groups, we take a look at guys in the first round and then more in the middle rounds.
We dive into analysis for Minkah Fitzpatrick, DErwin James and Mike Hughes. While Hughes would be more of a second round pick, he’s still in the discussion as someone who can be a dynamite player for the Miami Dolphins. Who is the best choice…and is one of them the apple of the Miami Dolphins’ eye? Tune in to find out.
For the middle rounds, we look at Ronnie Harrison, Jeremy Reaves and Isaiah Oliver. Which one of these players can fill the hybrid role that Miami is looking for? We let you know who Miami should draft if they miss out on any of the top players in the secondary.
We also talk for a short while about the latest news around the NFL. This includes the Rams and their continued assembly of the ‘Dream Team,’ the Patriots stockpiling draft picks, the Tennessee Titans uniforms and more.

  • Phinsider Radio - Breaking down the tight end prospects in the NFL Draft
This week on Phinsider Radio, the crew breaks down a few of the tight end prospects in the upcoming draft. It’s no secret the Miami Dolphins need a tight end so who might be a good target for them?
We take our top three tight ends on the board – Dallas Goedert from South Dakora State, Mark Andrews from Oklahoma and Hayden Hurst from South Carolina – and break down the pros and cons with each of them. Which one of them may be the right fit for the Dolphins? History shows that not a lot of tight ends are drafted in the first round so should the Dolphins take a tight end with their second-round pick? They’ll need to if they want one of these three guys.
If they don’t use a second-round pick on one of these guys, would they consider using a third or a fourth? If they do, we rank our next three guys on the board – Mike Gesicki from Penn State, Troy Fumagali from Wisconsin and Chris Herndon from the University of Miami. Do any of these guys make sense for Miami and are they the type of players that Adam Gase might be looking for in his offense?
We analyze all of this with the understanding that tight ends usually need at least half a season to get into a rhythm as they transition from college to the NFL. With quarterback Ryan Tannehill needing all the weapons he can get as he returns, picking the right tight end is going to be essential.
Join us this week on Phinsider Radio as we break all of this down!

  • Phinsider Radio: Looking at linebacker options for the Dolphins in the NFL Draft
This week on Phinsider Radio, we dive into the linebacker group for the upcoming draft. On the surface, it appears the Miami Dolphins are going to take a hard look at this position with a very high probability that they’ll draft one in the first round. Who though, should they pull the trigger on?
Is it Tremaine Edmunds from Virginia Tech? At 19-years-old, he’s raw, has a ton of potential and is considered by many the best linebacker in this draft. However, he’s quite tall for a prototypical linebacker and some are projecting him to play on the defensive line in the NFL. What does MC$, Sutton and Houtz think of this?
If it’s not Edmunds, is it Roquan Smith, who is the opposite of Edmunds in terms of height? He’s instinctive, polished and is a three-down linebacker from day one. Who on Phinsider Radio prefers him over Edmunds?
If not Edmunds and Smith, is it Leighton Vander Esch? He’s as disciplined as they come in terms of knowing exactly what to do on the football field, but he lacks the athleticism that Edmunds and Smith possess. Additionally, he was only a full-time starter for one year. Should the Dolphins pass on Edmunds and Smith, trade down a few spots, and pick Vander Esch?
In addition to the big three, we also talk about a few other middle round prospects who may be able to come in and make an impact. This includes Shaquem Griffin, who continues to defy all odds and prove everyone wrong.
Be sure to tune in this week on Phinsider Radio as we discuss the linebacker options for the Miami Dolphins in the upcoming NFL Draft!

  • Phinsider Radio - The mass exodus of players, new additions & contract changes
This week on Phinsider Radio, we kick things off talking about the mass exodus of talent from the Miami Dolphins. Since the last time we recorded the show a little more than a week ago, the Miami Dolphins have moved on from Jarvis Landry, Ndamukong Suh, Mike Pouncey, Lawrence Timmons and Julius Thomas.
While Timmons and Thomas were foregone conclusions and while Landry was just about there, none of us thought it would come down to Suh and Pouncey being released (despite the rumors). However, life comes at you fast in the NFL.
Why did the Dolphins move on from these players and are they crazy for doing so? We give you our best theory.
We also talk about the newest additions to the Dolphins - Albert Wilson, Danny Amendola, Joshua Sitton and Daniel Kilgore. How will they fit in with this team and will they be able to make an impact? Does the new look WR corp scare anyone or should we just take a wait and see approach? We also discuss what else the Dolphins may need to do in free agency and the draft to get to where they need to be.
Finally, we talk about the re-structured contracts for Reshad Jones and Ryan Tannehill. While Jones is seen as someone who will be around the team for years to come, Tannehill is a different story. With all the smoke about drafting a quarterback early this coming draft, how long is Miami really committed to Tannehill? Is it one or two years? We answer that question for you and debate how the Dolphins should handle this potentially fragile situation.
Be sure to tune in this week for Phinsider Radio - we have lots of great information, stats and tidbits spread throughout the show!
