It's another exciting day here in the the world of Another Notch. Remember how I shifted gears the other day and moved from a rough draft format over to a rough outline? Well, if that weren't bad enough, I managed to combine a bit of both of those formats in one episode today. Yes! I am diverse and multi-talented. 

Oh! And today's writing prompt? "A candle, a cup, and a mirror..." Nope. 'Can't make this stuff up. Well, somebody did, I suppose. So, here we are! On with the show!

This is the show where I find a random fiction writing prompt somewhere on the internet and use it to write something, record it, do a quick edit and toss it up here on the podcast for you to peruse, review, critique, heckle (be nice) and otherwise consider for your personal writing education purposes.

Welcome back to Another Notch! This is a show where I find random writing prompts, give them a shot, and then share what I did in the hopes of getting some feedback. The only way to grow as a writer is to get feedback on what one writes, so...here I am...to write, and share, and get feedback!Today's prompt is supposed to be about a couple on a beach at night seeing a ghostly pirate ship returning, according to local legend, to claim it's hidden buried treasure. I didn't quite get there in one sitting but, after about four pages, I decided to go with what I had so far. I hope you enjoy it, or at least get something out of it, and I hope you are inspired to write, even if it's nothing more than commentary about what I've written. Go for it! Let's see what ya got.

My goal is to get some writing done. I'm using this podcast to share some of what I am doing and to motivate me to branch out and try some different writing methods and techniques. Right now, the plan is to take a shot at a different writing prompt in each episode. As I progress, I may add some other features to the show. I'd like to eventually have some contests and competitions! We'll have to see how things go.Today, I found a random writing prompt for what happens to the victim of crossfire between two rival gangs.
