  • Shot #9: Members Only
Sometimes you just gotta get together and laugh with your friends, which is why this week's shot features two of our faves: Nichole Perkins, BuzzFeed Emerging Writers Fellow and Aaron Edwards, who does product and editorial at The Outline.

This week there's a righteous game of Pew Pew Pew with friends and a conversation that goes from how you protest, to awkward dates, to cuss words and jivesicles. Go ahead and consider how doing drugs with Donald Trump might be genius and quantify exactly what you'd do to *not* have to watch your parents having sex.

    Follow these cool kids!

    Aaron Edwards: @aaronmedwards
Tracy Clayton: @brokeymcpoverty (@tracysdrunkass is pending)

  • Episode 85: The Same Stuff as Stars (with Amanda Nguyen)
We never thought we'd do a single episode on both outer space and sexual assault, but that's because we hadn't met activist and aspiring astronaut Amanda Nguyen yet. She founded the organization Rise, to advocate for the rights of survivors of rape.

Did you know that in some states, untested rape kits can be thrown away after 30 days? Amanda tells us how legislation reflects rape culture, and how we can change this. When she's not busy fighting, Amanda is preparing herself for space travel. (Yup!) We talk about who we'd want to beam into the beyond, and remember that even in the darkest of times in this universe, we're never alone because we have each other.

You can find out more about Amanda's organization at www.risenow.us.

  • Episode 84: shETHER (with Remy Ma)
This week, an exclusive, extra-long conversation with the one and only Remy Ma! She came by the women's club The Wing and opened up about her pregnancy struggles, the music business, the prison system and of course the thing everybody wants to know about: her Nicki Minaj diss track "shETHER." Nothing was off-limits and the all-women crowd at The Wing was here for it.

We were especially honored to have a group of young women from the WomanHOOD project in the audience. WomanHOOD is a feminist leadership and media literacy organization for youth from the Bronx, where Remy's from! So sit back and enjoy, because the tea was hot and shit got real.

  • Episode 83: Incognegro (with Jordan Peele)
This week, we chat with Emmy and Peabody award-winning writer/comedian Jordan Peele about his directorial debut, “Get Out.”  Spoiler alert!  There are spoilers!  But we try to give you a heads up before, and also, if you haven’t seen the movie already, what are you doing with your life?!?  Come for Jordan’s take on the social thriller as a way to build empathy - especially in America's fucked up racial climate - and stay for his delightful appreciation of the man, the myth, the legend: Reginald VelJohnson.  Plus, shoutouts to nail polish, Marie Kondo, and getting through a long-ass week.

  • Episode 81: Y'all's Parents Was Nasty (with Kelly Rowland)
We're talking music this week and we've got the one and only Kelly Rowland blessing the stude to talk about parenthood, nice pajamas and the "hell no's" she heard on her path to fame. (If you're wondering if Kelly glows so bright you can hardly look at her directly, the answer is yes.) And then, if you think you were conceived in a prayerful way with some missionary nookie, you're wrong and Tracy is here to play you some songs that will haunt your dreams. We end this episode with some R&B-inspired rounds, because black folk made music what it is, no matter who got the Grammy.

  • Episode 43: A Gumbo of Afrofuturism (Vann R. Newkirk II) (Encore)
It's an encore, which is French* for "you better listen again, honey because it's delicious." We celebrate Blacker History Month with our caucacity correspondent Matt Bellassai, we talk all things Kanye with Jezebel's Julianne Escobedo Shepherd, and interview Vann R. Newkirk II of Seven Scribes and The Atlantic, who brings us to the afrofuture because the afro-present is pretty tough.

Also! We have a live show coming up on February 10th, 2017! It's sold out, but you can get your friends together and watch live at https://www.facebook.com/anotherround.

  • Episode 80: A Beautiful Way To Resist
Trump's Executive Order had so many in the streets this past weekend. With so much on our minds and hearts, we invite friends Ahmed Ali Akbar (host of our sibling podcast See Something Say Something) and Bim Adewunmi, reporter extraordinaire, to chat with us about Muslim identity and resistance.

Plus, an Iranian man whose in-laws were detained at JFK airport walks us through the experience, and a pair of civil rights lawyers offer tips on how you can help if you're feeling helpless.

Follow Ahmed Ali Akbar at @radbrowndads and Bim Adewunmi at @bimadew.  Catch up on episodes of See Something Say Something at buzzfeed.com/seesomethingsaysomething.

Inauguration. The Women's March. The first few days of Trump's presidency. It's...a lot. Join us as we reflect wistfully on Obama's presidency, then chat with Joy Reid -- host of the MSNBC political talk show "AM Joy" and co-editor of the new book We Are the Change We Seek: The Speeches of Barack Obama -- about media literacy in the age of "alternative facts," her favorite "Fresh Prince" episode, and of course, punching nazis.  Plus, the musical stylings of our friend, Tunde Olaniran!
