Cianna P. Stewart produces and hosts Dying Kindness, a podcast for people who are going to die someday. (Hint... that's all of us!) Cianna's goal is to help people make key decisions now in order to be kinder to those they'll leave behind.
In this episode we cover the many things you can logistically do to prepare for death, but we also dive into talking about death with your loved ones, facing death, navigating grief (for yourself and with others), and a whole lot more.
We even get into some specific tips around what to actually say to those who are grieving and how you can best support them. Cianna and I share our own experiences and journeys with loss and death as well. This is a special and important episode, I hope you enjoy listening to it it as much as I did recording it!

In this episode I sit down with Reid Mihalko, internationally known sex and relationship geek. Reid has led thousands of workshops and play parties, and his work spans across the globe - and he's also been featured on Lisa Ling's "Our America" and NETFLIX's "Chelsea Does..." with Chelsea Handler.
Reid tells us about his back story and how he got to being such a passionate expert in this field, while also generously sharing about his personal experiences along the way.
We get into a variety of topics, tips, and insights around dating and relationships - but specifically into the concept of "dating your species" and what that means and how that can greatly impact (for better or for worse) your dating, romantic, and love life.

I sit down with a long-time friend and fellow adventurer, Stephanie Koder. In this interview, we touch on her passion and career as a climate change expert and environmentalist (currently with The Nature Conservancy).
After a break-up, Stephanie took the leap to live nomadically while figuring out where she wanted to land, and that has now turned into 15+ months of traveling and working remotely. We talk about what it's been like for her, how she plans where she'll visit next, tips she has - especially for being a solo female-bodied traveler, why she keeps doing this and how she manages it with work, and a whole lot more!
Editors Note: This interview was recorded in early December 2024.

In this episode, Zephira and I go deep into the topic of setting and holding boundaries in relationships. What is a boundary? How do we create and share them with the people in our lives? How do we uphold them? Why is this important? So many questions and so many answers explored.
We also cover themes around non-violent communication, relationship agreements, domestic violence, and a whole lot more. This is an insightful, vulnerable, and educational episode that I think everyone can benefit from - no matter how experienced you may or may not be in creating, holding, and communicating boundaries.

In this interview I sit down with Eri Kardos, an internationally acclaimed speaker, author, and love and relationship coach. We get into all the nitty gritty of how Eri has created a bold life of exploration, challenging the status quo, living authentically, and being in alignment with her truest expression in the world. She's beautifully modeled what it's like to be vulnerable and real in a world where she did have to face judgement and even interpersonal challenges because of it.
From challenging conservative family values to sex positive and kink exploration to polyamory to living abroad and raising a family in Bali to building a unique career and partnership, Eri gives us inspiring and fun insights on what it's like to walk this path and why it's been so valuable to her. It's a really fun and deep episode, and Eri's stories are incredibly interesting - I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

In this episode, I sit down with Malcolm Dydo, Co-Founder and Executive Director of the Freedom Within Prison Project, a Santa Cruz, CA-based nonprofit dedicated to restoring wholeness to individuals, families, and communities impacted by incarceration.
We talk about the recent, devastating execution of Marcellus “Khaliifah” Williams in Missouri. While tapping into our anger and sadness for the broken prison system, we also explore our shared hope for what is changing and can change.
Malcolm shares a broader view of what it's like inside and what incarcerated folks are up against, as well as the many ways that volunteer programs (like Freedom Within) are working hard (with success!) to create new pathways for healing, growth, connection, and learning.
This episode is an exploration of what is possible if we're open to empathy, change, and healing for every human. And how emotional literacy and human connection are foundational elements for every human's healing journey - and that everyone deserves access to.
