Today, we're speaking with Natasha Hakimi Zapata, an award-winning journalist based in Europe. She’s also the author of Another World Is Possible: Lessons for America From Around the Globe. The book came out a few months ago and has given me so much hope and inspiration for the United States.
Most of us are closer to being homeless than we are to being millionaires, with only one healthcare disaster, a lost job, or another calamity sending us to the brink. Yet, we often still buy into the myth of being "self-made" in the US, hustling hard to get to a better place one day.
It’s a promise that hasn’t been delivered for many. In her book, Natasha travels to nine countries around the world to show how, in those places, instead of promising better futures tomorrow, there is already a better present now.
