About Veteran Barbers for Veterans: OUR MISSION

VBV’s mission is to combat Veteran joblessness, homelessness, and veteran suicide through simple, not complex, high-impact methods of empowerment through barbering and education in barbering for veterans in need.

We are a group of Veterans and Combat Veterans that have come together through the art of barbering. We have started our journey in Kansas City, KS but have high hopes of expanding around the United States, to give back to our brothers and sisters that have served our great country.

 

MEET THE FOUNDER LLOYD BLAIR

Founder & CEO

I am a California native that moved here to the mid-west in my early years. I graduated high school early to join the Marine Corp in 2003, in which, I spent four years and did two combat tours with 1st Battalion 5th Marines, I was honorably discharged in 2007. After I left the Marine Corp I dabbled in a few careers, until 2013 when I started working for the VFW, as a service officer, helping veterans get their benefits. In 2017 I started my journey in my passion for Barbering and enrolled at Headlines Barber Academy in KCK the rest has yet to be written.
