Philippians 1:21-26 begins with a powerful statement from Paul: "For me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain." Paul writes about how he is hard pressed between a desire to depart and be with Jesus, and the necessity of his service on earth. In this message, Pastor Nate teaches about the three things that Paul shows us about death: that it is a departure, an encounter, and far better. Paul has a deep desire to be with Jesus, but expresses a willingness to delay his departure, knowing that he is living for a purpose. Pastor Nate encourages us to remember that as long as we are still breathing, God is still working.
Pastor Nate teaches on Philippians 1:18-21, and how we can learn from Paul's choice to rejoice despite his circumstances. Listen in and be encouraged to live in a way that magnifies Christ, seek fullness in joy, and renew your confidence in where God has taken you.

Pastor Nate teaches on Philippians 1:9-11, and how the way we love should affect the way we live. There are 4 attributes of Christian love: essential, environment, effect, and endgame. Paul talks about self-sacrificing and Christlike agape love that is absolutely necessary and fundamental to Christianity. This passage also connects love with knowledge- the more that we learn about God, the more we love Him.
