In this passage, Paul is encouraging the church to live out the life within, to work out what God has worked in. Pastor Nate teaches on three factors of a great workout: example, exercise, and empowering.
In this passage, Pastor Nate teaches on how the height and depth of Christ compares to a parabola, a curve that is mirrored symmetrically forming a U-shape. Jesus in ultimate humility died on the cross, modeling to us that humility means death to self. God has given Jesus the most exalted name, LORD. Pastor Nate gives us the opportunity to reflect on how we respond to Jesus as our Lord, and encourages us to take ourselves off the throne of our hearts and truly invite Jesus to take reign in our lives.
Pastor Nate teaches on Philippians 2:5-11, in which we see that Christ made the DECISION TO DESCEND, to leave heaven to come to earth for us. Paul points to Jesus as the supreme example of selflessness, service and sacrifice. We focus on 3 characteristics of Christ: divinity, humility, and humanity.
Pastor Lars teaches on Philippians 2:1-4. In this passage, Paul is writing to the church in Philippi about what he is experiencing in the new life he has gained through Jesus. Pastor Lars focuses in on our vertical relationship with God and our horizontal relationship with those around us.
Pastor Nate teaches on Philippians 1:27-30, and encourages us to live a life worthy of the gospel, in our standing, striving, and suffering.
