We also present each other with an anthology built out of the best segments we've watched this year! It's kind of like a fantasy draft, but not really. We're gonna do that someday!

  • It's Never Too Late to Change Film Careers (with Robert Bella!)

In 1997 Robert Bella was the toast of Sundance with his debut film COLIN FITZ LIVES! He was followed around the fest by the TV show 48 Hours, who thought he might be The Next Big Thing. But when he struggled to make his second film, he stumbled into the world of post-production supervising, eventually working for Steven Spielberg. Then he walked away from it all to chase his dream of being a TV writer, eventually getting staffed on several shows. And THEN he became a tv director. And THEN he's been transitioning all the way back to indie film. Robert's journey is both inspiring and a fascinating portrait of the film industry over the years!
