With today's episode I am crossing off my list a creator that I have wanted to chat with since Byron first mentioned the idea of starting a podcast. In 2020, the early days of the pandemic, I first decided to try and write a comic script in order to enter the Mad Cave Studios Talent Search and I based my script on Show's End, written by Anthony Cleveland. Although I didn't win the talent search (unlike Anthony who won in 2018), I fell in love with the story of Show's End along with Jef Sadzinski's artwork. Since then, Anthony has written a 2nd volume of Show's End, Stargazer (also published by Mad Cave), and he's here on the podcast today to talk about Charred Remains, his newest series from Mad Cave Studios. Anthony has teamed up with horror artist extraordinaire Andrea Mutti for this story about a supernatural entity made of fire. Issue #1 is out December 13th. As Evil Dead 2 played on the tv behind Anthony, we talked about horror, his journey in comics, and a bit about both Show's End and Stargazer.
