The October 2020 edition of UP! is packed with commercial house anthems from start to finish. The set kicks off with the Alok/Martin Jensen collaboration with Jason Derulo "Don't Cry For Me". Until Dawn weigh in with two uplifting remixes for Four of Diamonds and Freya Ridings respectively. Mark Ronson's new track "Don't Leave Me Lonely" gets a great remix from Claptone and Dirty Disco work their magic on two remixes for Kylie Minogue and Lady Gaga respectively. Moving through the set are tracks from Joel Corry, Topic, Clubland and Sia. The back end of the set rounds out with some great remixes from Roberto Ferrari and Russ Rich & Andy Allder. Dario Xavier delivers a beautiful mix of Calum Scott's "You Are The Reason" to close out the October '20 edition of UP! Enjoy

I know this month's edition of UP! is a little late, but you know... Covid.
Having said that, I hope the September '20 edition of UP! is worth the wait. This set starts off with some smooth house tracks from Taylor Swift, Florrie and Brenda Reed. I also included Wayne G's outstanding & exclusive mix of "Stupid Love" by Lady Gaga as Wayne was kind enough to forward it to me. (Visit his Soundcloud page and show him some love). Dirty Disco feature three outstanding remixes on this set including Dua Lipa & Tina Turner in addition to Brenda Reed. The set heads into more big room territory with tracks from Katy Perry, Pussycat Dolls, Harry Styles and Sia. This Essentials edition is focused on UK recording artist Dua Lipa. It is impossible to not hear a Dua Lipa track on the radio and there is good reason for it. She first appeared in the charts back in 2015 when her track "Be The One" gained popularity. She followed this up in early 2016 with "Hotter Than Hell" which established her unique voice and talent. "Blow Your Mind" further established Dua and her collaboration with Martin Garrix "Scared To Be Lonely" started to spread her popularity internationally. 2018 saw Dua nominated for several Brit Music Awards and her track "One Kiss" with Calvin Harris became a world wide hit topping the UK charts for 8 weeks. "Electricity", her collaboration with Mark Ronson & Diplo won a Grammy Award. She had three singles "Swan Song", "Don't Start Now" and "Physical" in late 2019/early 2020 leading up to the release of her second studio album "Future Nostalgia" which was a commercial and critical success. In February 2020 she performed at Sydney's Mardi Gras party alongside Sam Smith and Kesha. At the time of making this compilation, Dua Lipa has 2 tracks in the charts - "Hallucinate" and "Levitating" with Madonna & Missy Elliott. This compilation of the talented Ms Lipa hosts a slew of remixes of 17 of her hit songs by a variety of predominantly house remix artists including 3 from Sydney's own Division 4. Enjoy

The northern summer is drawing to a close and so is the southern winter (thankfully). The August '20 edition of UP! is the perfect segue to the change in seasons with uplifting vocal house and club anthems from start to finish. The set kicks off with 2 powerhouse male vocal performances from Liam Payne on "Midnight" and John Newman on "High On You". Becky Hill delivers again on her new track "Heaven On My Mind" and Kylie Minogue's new track "Say Something" is given a killer remix by Dirty Disco. Melbourne's DJ Argonaut does a stand out job on Dua Lipa's "Hallucinate" as does Division 4 on "Perfect" by Katherine Ellis. Russ Rich & Andy Allder have proven to be a formidable team up and their mix of "Be Kind" by Halsey is stellar. From here on, the set moves into big room territory with tracks from Tommer Mizrahi and Lady Gaga. Roberto Ferrari really delivers on "Breaking Me" and Luis Vazquez puts his on spin on the classic "I See The Light" by Paradise. "Waiting For Your Love" closes out this pumping August 2020 edition of UP! Enjoy

The 6th installment in this year's Pride Anthems gets back to some good old fashioned diva's with some new remixes of classic tracks. The set kicks off with a 2020 remix of "Free" by Ultra Nate`. The always reliable Division 4 weighs in with three remixes for Janet Jackson, Katy Perry and Belinda Carlisle. Barry Harris turns in a funky update of Madison Avenue's "Don't Call Me Baby" and Wayne G. works his magic on two tracks for 7th Heaven and Carly Rae Jepsen respectively. Cher's "One By One" gets the Joel Dickinson treatment and the Freemasons whip up Adele's "Rolling In The Deep". The set closes out with the classic Hex Hector mix of Stars On 54. Continuing on with Pride Anthems into July 2020, this 5th edition is a step up in pace and intensity. I miss the older style of remixes which would let each song take you on a journey. Today an 'extended club mix' barely clocks in at 4 minutes. This set reverts back to the old style with 10 killer classic tracks all in their full, extended glory. Kicking off the set is Lonnie Gordon's classic "No Regrets" given an uplifting mix by Marco Gee. The original "On The Bible" by Deuce is remade by Northernbeat and Almighty turn in a power house remix of X-Tina's "The Voice Within". 7th Heaven weigh in with 2 mixes for Kelly Clarkson and Loreen. Nicki French's cover of "Total Eclipse Of the Heart" was as popular as the Bonnie Tyler original. Wayne G. takes Anastacia's "I'm Outta Love" in a new direction as does Chris Cox on Rihanna's "S.O.S".. The set closes with Becky Baeling's epic "If You Love Me" which I'm sure you'll remember when you hear it. Uplifting and inspiring is all you need to know about Pride Anthems 5. Enjoy

For June/July 2020 I decided to release two editions of Pride Anthems similar to how I do in March with Mardi Gras Anthems. This 4th edition of Pride Anthems has a distinctly different sound and feel to number 3. This edition sits squarely in the big room and circuit arena with some great new remixes of past anthems to have graced the dance floors of Pride events around the world. The set opens with the Toy Armada & DJ GRIND remix of Mel B's uplifting "For Once In My Life" which is followed by a killer Dario Xavier remix of Madonna's classic "Where's The Party". Stephen Jusko & DJ Blacklow released a 25th anniversary remix of Alanis Morissette's "You Oughta Know" and it is a floor stomper."Rain On Me" by Lady Gaga gets the Toy Armada & DJ GRIND pride anthem treatment and is the most current track in the set. Heading back into classic territory are tracks from Deborah Cox, Jennifer Hudson, Celine Dion, Cher and Beyonce` with remixes from Brett Oosterhaus, Drew G, Stephen Jusko, Johnny Rocks and Edson Pride. Wayne G. also adds to the list by updating his remix of "Santa Maria" by Tatjana. Pride Anthems 4 is the perfect antidote to Covid19 isolation blues so, stay safe and Enjoy.

June is the kick off month for various Pride events in the summer around the world although, this year they might be virtual events considering the ongoing effects of Covid19. That doesn't mean that we can't celebrate with more classic anthems that have made their mark at Pride parties over the years. The June 2020 edition of Pride Anthems does exactly that. Kicking off the set is an amazing Division 4 remix of Mariah Carey's "Dreamlover".
In fact, Division 4 has done so many awesome updated remixes of classic tracks that four of them feature in this set including "Crazy In Love", "Never Enough" and "I Will Love Again". Thelma Houston's "Don't Leave Me this Way" has been remixed so many times, it's hard to make a choice on which one to use. I decided on the more old school version by Almighty. The Pete Hammond remix of "Catch You Baby" by Lonnie Gordon is pure 90's dance heaven. Hazell Dean's classic "Searchin" also gets the Almighty treatment. Johnny Rocks does a beautiful mix of Taborah's "I Am" and Wayne G's remixes of "Catch My Breath" by Kelly Clarkson and "Unbreak My Heart" by Toni Braxton are also stellar. Throw in a punchy Barry Harris mix of Whitney's "Love Will Save The Day" and the June 2020 edition of Pride Anthems is ready to move you wherever and however you choose to celebrate. Enjoy

All of the remixes on this edition lean more towards the big room and circuit sound. Tracks such as "New York City" & "Kiss Me Once" get excellent remixes from Toy Armada & DJ GRIND as does "Beautiful" her collaboration with Enrique Iglesias. "Love At First Sight" and "Can't Get You Out Of My Head" get updated remixes from Dario Xavier. Her most recent studio album 'Golden' produced the hits "Dancing" and "Stop Me From Falling" mixed by Barry Harris and Joe Gauthreaux & Leanh respectively and Joe Gauthreaux also delivers a power house remix of "Into The Blue". 7th Heaven and the Freemasons weigh in on "Timebomb" and "The One". We are almost half way through the year and have to suffer yet another month of stay at home indoor disco dancing. Fortunately, you now have UP! May 2020 to rescue you. There are also some great online streaming events to lift your spirits such as DJ Dan Murphy's 'Camp' live stream. This month's edition of UP! packs a commercial house punch in the front end of the set. Kicking it off is the excellent Tempo Elektrik remix of Harry Styles "Adore You". A classic from the past "Happiness" by Wand & Jeanie Tracy, gets a modern remake from Vibey. The always reliable Division 4 weaves his magic on Dojo Cat's "Say So" and Little Mix's "Break Up Song" also gets a great remix from James Bowers. The excellent Tommer Mizrahi sends the set into Big Room anthem territory with his mix of Sam Smith's "To Die For" and Russ Rich & Andy Allder turn in an awesome mix of "You Should Be Sad" by Halsey. I never thought I'd see the day when I put a song by Lindsay Lohan in my podcast but apparently that day is here, with a great remix of "Back To Me" by Cavalier. Anne-Marie's "2002" gets the big room treatment from Joe Gauthreaux & Leanh. Sam Smith makes a second appearance with Demi Lovato on "I'm Ready" and Dua Lipa and Alex Clare close out the set.
