Nearly 2 years after the amazing day club UP! closed it's doors, our lovely promoter Randel decided to hold a reunion party. He gathered all 10 of the original DJ's & threw an open invitation to all fans of the event and any new friends they wanted to invite. The result was a completely sold out event held at the Midnight Shift club on Sydney's Oxford Street on Saturday the 19th of November. The music was inspiring and the energy was palpable. Joe Gauthreaux also delivers an outstanding remix of ABBA's classic "Lay All Your Love On Me" & Lady Gaga's 'universal acceptance' anthem "Born This Way" has a great remix from Funk3d. Spring has arrived in Australia so it's time for some uplifting, feel good house tunes to prep us for the approaching summer. This edition of Heaven has some remixed classics as well as some golden oldies that I haven't spun for a while. The set kicks of with the Division 4 remix of Belinda Carlisle's "Heaven Is A Place On Earth" then glides into the equally good remix of Faith Hill's "Breathe". The Donna Summer classic "This Time I Know It's For Real" is covered by Melanie Anderson & Almighty. 7th Heaven, remix 2 tracks including one of my all time favourites "Don't Hide" by Tina Arena.
