On what would have been his 98th Birthday, had he not been assassinated, Amílcar Cabral is introduced as a radical anti-colonial theorist and National Liberation Marxist revolutionary. We discuss his early life and education, his formation of the PAIGC (African Party for the Independence of Guinea and Cape Verde), and his writings. Specifically, we discuss "The Nationalist Movements of the Portuguese Colonies" and "The Weapon of Theory".
