A few thoughts from this sermon.
Instead of running to other people or other things, David runs to the Lord.
"David declares: In the Lord I take refuge." Where do you find refuge when things get bad. Where do you run?
Become a master of the eternal perspective. Heaven and Hell are real.
You are declared righteous when you put your faith in Jesus Christ. We are not saved by good works, but to do good works.

"I will bless the LORD who has given me counsel; my heart also instructs me in the night seasons. I have set the LORD always before me; because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved."

"God does not forget the cry of the afflicted" (vs. 12).

Decisions, Justice, and Promises are the themes for these 12 verses.
1) Decisions: Verses 1-2 hold "I Will" statements.
2) Justice: Verses 3-8; God's justice, not an individual's sense of justice.
3) Promises: Verses 9-12; promises in times of trouble.
