Lack of access, lack of healthy foods and lack of quality health care make it difficult for families to thrive and for kids to grow up health and ready for school.

Diaper Banks serve an often unseen need in America. Over 5 million children, aged 3 and under live in poor or low income families and those families are on an average of 50 diapers short per month. Often these families must choose between purchasing diapers and other household items. This is where diaper banks come in. In this episode we talk to Anita Hanke and Ashley Flesner, with AOK Adams County, who head up the Covered Bottoms diaper bank, located in Quincy Illinois. In just 2 years they have given away over 200,000 diapers.
