  • AFRITUNES WEEK 176//Holy Fire by Theophilus Sunday (cover by AO WILSON)

    https://3speak.tv/watch?v=aowilson/akkmcths

Hello everyone, happy new week to y'all, my name is @aowilson and this is my entry for the new week at AFRITUNES WEEK 176. I will be sharing a song cover of Holy Fire originally sung by min Theophilus Sunday. I hope hat you enjoy this entry and also be blessed by it.

So, can you believe that this is the very first song of minister Theophilus Sunday that I have ever heard in ally life. A little throw back to history, when I heard the song, I just fell in love with the man. The song is just so powerful and very overwhelming. It broke me and pushed me to pray for the longest I had ever prayed at that time. That was a turning point for me. I just couldn't get over the song.

So why am I sharing this song now, I feel like this is a season where we must go back to the alter and seek the face of God like never before. His fire must burn up on our alter continually and everyday, every second. And you know the funny thing? YOU ARE THE SACRIFICE THAT EILL BURN. Because there's no burning without a sacrifice. May we be willing to burn oh when God decides to make us his sacrifice for burning. May we not run from God's process ohh.

As we sing this song together may the fire of Jesus burn upon our hearts.

    Peace out ✌️ 🫴

  • Praise and Worship week 71//Ina marmari zumunta by Pastor Chingtok ( cover by AO WILSON)

    https://3speak.tv/watch?v=aowilson/jeubtfjz
Hello every one, I go by the name @aowilson, your favorite guitarist. This is praise and worship week 71, and I decided to share a wonderful cover of one of my favorite songs with you. This is my first post here and so I will be doing a little brief background introduction. Trust me you're gonna enjoy it. The title of the song that I will be singing is ina marmari zumunta, and it was sung by a Nigerian gospel minister and pastor, Pastor Chingtok Ishaku. Ina marmari zumunta means I want to fellowship, it's in Hausa language and it is a very popular song.

Quickly, I want to say that I love God, reckless love, I love God , I am a Christian and I love to meet Christian friends where we build ourselves and grow together. My brother @shedxy is here in this community doing wonders and I celebrate him for that, I love you bro.

We use to sing this song a lot, it's a song of fellowship, it's a song of communion. The songs talks about your eagerness to commune with the Holy Ghost. You know I can't really explain it but then, there is this inner longing that pushes you to want to fellowship and talk to God.

The writer was so intentional about this song as one part of the song says, I will follow you everywhere. I am sure this person has a relationship with the Holy Spirit because, fellowship will actually birth instructions and you have to follow them if you want the fellowship to continue. Everywhere he leads, anywhere he leads you, you follow because he owns you.

That's just the heart cry behind this song and it is actually overwhelming. You can join me to sing please if you understand Hausa.

As you listen and sing along, may this sound really bless you, Amen.

    Peace out ✌️ 🫴

  • AFRITUNES WEEK 175//Haske by Kaestrings(cover by @aowilson)

    https://3speak.tv/watch?v=aowilson/xdjzmusn
Hello every one, I go by the name @aowilson, your favorite guitarist. This is AFRITUNES WEEK 175, and I decided to share a wonderful cover of one of my favorite songs with you. Trust me you're gonna enjoy it. The title of the song that I will be singing is Haske, and it was sung by a Nigerian gospel artist, Kaestrings. Haske means light, it's in Hausa language and it is a very popular song.

So now, like I said, Haske means light and the song is simply declaring Jesus Christ as the light. I was wondering what song to share with you guys this week and then I thought I should choose this one because the days are really getting darker. The days are really getting worse by the day, things are going haywaya, things are going in different directions and people scattering like a sheep without a shepherd. It's nobody's fault per SE but it's still our fault because we failed to acknowledge the one who can be of help to us.

So with an open heart the song surrenders to the leading of the Lord Jesus Christ, it says where you go I will go. Just like when Peter answered Jesus Christ when he asked his disciples in the book of John. After he preached to the people that they must eat his flesh and drink his blood to love, and the people left. The 12 remained and Jesus asked them, what about you, won't you leave too?

Peter said, Lord to whom shall we go to? In you we have found life.

For that fountain of life to keep flowing in you, you must always follow his leading and government. You must go where he goes, stay where he stays and leave where he leaves.

As you listen to this song, remain blessed.

    Peace out ✌️ 🫴

  • Hive music festival week 143, Round 2// Desire by Kaestrings cover

    https://3speak.tv/watch?v=aowilson/fhrbbnlm

Greetings to all the great people of music zone. And my great friends here in the blockchain. How do you do. I am @aowilson and this is my entry for hive music festival week 142 round 2. This week I decided to share a song with you despite my tight schedules. Time has been limiting me, but I hope you enjoy my entry for this week. I will be doing a song cover of Desire by Kaestrings. Follow me as I make your day.

The song speaks of the desire for the presence of God. The author expressed his longing to have the presence of God as this is a paramount thing in the life of any man. A man without God is like a dead man walking.

The presence of God comes with his splendour and his glory, with affluence and influence and his power too. I think the author understands that this commodity is something he cannot trade for anything and so he chooses it as priority above every other thing that God can give to him.

This should be our heart cry too, we must yearn for him and not what his hands can give. We must desire not the things he can give, we must desire him and him alone. Like his own personality and his own self.

He also expressed his need for his by saying there's no other thing he needs and he wants to hold him close. When we don't hold him close, we may loose delicate and slippery raindrops that comes from staying in his presence.

Your presence is my one desire

Your glory is my one desire
    You're all I want, you're all I need,
I wanna hold you close to me
So I hope you do enjoy the entry. Listen and be blessed

  • AFRITUNES WEEK 174//HANU A SAMA BY BISHOP TEE(COVER BY AO WILSON)

    https://3speak.tv/watch?v=aowilson/bqzpuoob

Greetings to y'all in Hive blockchain technology. I go by the name @aowilson and this is my entry for AFRITUNES WEEK 174. This week I will be sharing a song originally sung by Bishop Tee titled Hanu A Sama( translated to My hands lifted up). It's a Hausa song. The author hails from Jos, Plateau State Nigeria. I really feel like to share with you this song from my heart, it is the current call and beating of my heart.

So the song is in Hausa language, one of the 3 prominent languages spoken in Nigeria, mostly the north. It means my hands lifted up, Jesus I am before you, with my hands lifted up.

The song speaks of a brokenness to the presence of Jesus Christ, a surrender. When you lift your hands, it's a sign of surrender, giving up, showing weakness. So as we sing and say that Jesus we are before you with hands lifted up, we are surrendering to Him, we are giving up all that we have and we are giving him the lead.

We are we called to surrender our everything to him. All to him we owe our all. This is beyond just a song, it's a heart posture, it's beyond raising hands physically, it is a thing of the heart. May God receive us as we raise our hands in surrender to him.
    Enjoy!!!
Hanu A Sama - hands lifted up
Ya Yesu ga mu a gaban ka- Jesus we are before you
Join me to as we sing the simple song together

Only someone who is proud of us can smile at us. I want Jesus to smile at me ohh. I want to be the reason why Jesus will sit on his throne and smile. It will be great you know that he enjoys and smile through our lives.

Hi great hivians. How do you do? Hows the new week. Great people of hive open mic, I am @aowilson your favorite guitarist 🫴 🫴
This is hive open mic week 272 and I am excited to share another song cover with you guys. Am always delighted to share my song here due to the overwhelming love I receive. I do hope you enjoy my entry for this week.

Our theme says "Ring the bell". And you know I've been really thinking of the song to sing and then this song fell in my spirit just so quickly and I was thinking of how the theme relates to the song and I came to realize that it really does.

A bell is rung to cause awareness and reminder of time because it is easily forgotten. When you get busy atimes you may forget that something has passed but bell bring you to the reminder of it. So also, I feel like God wants to bring to our remembrance through this song who we are in Christ Jesus.

I can't really explain the song but I believe y'all know the song better than I do and you will flow better into the understanding of you follow me to sing, very simple lyrics. As you listen to this song, you can flow with it and sing with me and I believe that God will ring his bell of consciousness in your heart.

Let me translate what I am singing for you:
No power of hell, no scheme of man
Can ever plug me from his hands
Till he returns or calls me home
Here in the power of Christ

What height of love, what depths of peace

Where fears are still, where striving cease
My comforter, my all in all
Here in the love of Christ I stand

No guilt in life no fear in death

For this is the power of Christ in me
From life's first cry, to final death
    Jesus commands my destiny

  • AFRITUNES WEEK 171//MEDLEY OF TWO SONGS BY AO WILSON

    https://3speak.tv/watch?v=aowilson/ageoihph

AFRITUNES WEEK 1271, it's your boy @aowilson, your favorite guitarist again, yeahh....and this is my entry for the week. This week I decided to do a medley of 2 very popular songs here in Nigeria, especially the North Central of Nigeria. You've been faithful Lord and We bless you Lord...I just hope that you enjoy my presentation for this week. Am sure you would because I did my best to see that you enjoy it, common.

So the first song speaks of the faithfulness of God and about keeping his promises. From the ages past, God has been faithful, God has never failed me, well I don't know for you but, this is my testimony and this is the inspiration behind the song. God has never failed me and he will never ever do. His name is forever and forever. He remains the same

Then the second song speaks also of the forever living of our God. So it brings us to the point that we must worship him and nothing else. God is sovereign, holy and righteous and so, he must be reverenced.

So in every situation and time, do well to worship God. Only your voice cannot nullify the many voices that speaks and say that God is faithful. So you may be in a tight situation, maybe a prayer that seems unanswered and may want to say God is not faithful, please and please, God is faithful and he will continually be. Just trust him and hold on to his word.

    You've been faithful Lord...

    From the ages past....
