Robin F. Anderson refers to herself as an “accidental writer.” Currently, she is a senior vice president with Texas Capital Bank where she focuses on commercial card consulting. She joined Mary Schaeffer on the podcast to discuss some of the strategies she used to get to her current position. To use her words, in her first position she was “just a clerk.”

Robin joined the podcast to discuss her new book, Here … Hold My Wine. Each chapter contains a real-life story and concludes with a Here Hold My Wine moment. Typically, these are based on what Robin learned from the situations she has shared. Before sharing the real-life experiences that helped propel her up the corporate ladder, Robin notes that at best, she was a B- student. She was more interested in fun and games than her studies.

But she has made up for that with hard work and perseverance – and taking some interesting approaches to learning. Like AP Now, she believes that lifelong learning is key, especially in today’s business environment. She reveals some of her success strategies that everyone can use to emulate her success. She has some really novel ideas – and they work!
