This is by far our realist episode we have put out to the public. This young man that came to Apartment 615 is a man that’s made a lot of bad decisions in his life. He’s done plenty of things that our judicial system is not fond of. But, this podcast is for people that deserve second chances and by God, this man has made the most of his freedom.
Today, we have my good friend Joshua Corning on the pod. He’s a lovely young man that spend some time in a Memphis prison. I have known him for a very, very long time and he’s like a brother to me. We are incredibly lucky that he tells his story on this very episode.
In this episode, we talk differences between jail and prison, fights in showers, gangs and racism, along with the living situations. Then things get a little weird. This episode, like many for some reason take a real homosexual turn to it. We ask hypothetically, how long it would take until we would go gay in prison if you have a life sentence?
Then the pod gets pretty dark. Josh talks about his sixteen year old brother Tristan (RIP Tristan) taking his life while in the same jail as Josh. He also tells us some unwritten rules of prison and what happens to pedophiles in jail and prison. We also cover some positives like, getting jobs in prison and best meals while incarcerated. In addition, we learn that honey buns are gold while locked up in a cage.
Josh explains what jail dope is. That horrible, disgusting, dreadful recipe is at around 35 minutes in if anyone is here for the cooking show. Things get real crazy when Josh talks his prison stalker, along with his baby mamas and having a prison relationship with a lady on the outside.
Later, Josh discusses his first brushes with the law. We take a little time to talk the former NFL player Isaiah Wilson, which is ironic because since this recording happened, me and Isaiah Wilson have had several interactions and you can keep up with that saga on my Snapchat stories, follow that at Blakebellamy82.
We end this episode with getting in shape in prison, his first meal of freedom and how hard it is to find a job with a criminal record and second chances in the real world. This episode was absolutely amazing, I really hope everyone listens and enjoys this. Listen to everything that this man says. It’s truly incredible what he has overcome and the place he is at now in life.
As always thank you again for listening and please, please rate us five stars on Apple, subscribe and share with friends and enemies alike. Even awful people need something to make them laugh from time to time.
New episodes every Thursday!
