We continue our study of the Doctrine of Justification by Faith Alone. Dr. Hodge continues to hammer home the fact that the Bible teaches because the law demands perfect obedience, therefore there is no way to be justified by the law. Then we start to discuss how Jesus satisfies the demands of God's Law in our place, and this is the glory and majesty of the Gospel.

In this episode, Dave begins a series where he talks about the doctrine of Justification by Faith Alone. In this first part, we read from Dr. Charles Hodge and talk about how the foundational starting point for a proper understanding of this doctrine is the biblical teaching that the Law of God can only be fulfilled by sinless perfection.

In this episode, we discuss how the American Church needs to quickly understand that the pragmatism of the recent decades has mislead us into thinking that God is only glorified by big numbers and positive response to the message of the Gospel. In reality, God is also glorified when no one responds. What Glorifies god is when His truth is proclaimed, even if nobody responds positively, and even if everyone hates the message and attacks it. In this current direction of our culture, we need to learn this more than ever.
