This fourth installment in the series explores Jesus' incredible proclivity for being rational and logical in His handling of people. He was a tremendous debater!

The third installment in this series examines three attributes of Jesus: His ability to disarm opponents, His fearless courage in interacting with enemies, and His willingness to correct error and engage in debate.

The second installment in this series explores two characteristics that Jesus manifested in His life on Earth: His willingness to accommodate rejection, and His masterful ability to disarm opponents. Remember, only the New Testament can provide an accurate portrait of what Jesus was really like.

What are your impressions about Jesus as a person? Was He loving, kind, and gentle? Was He confrontational? Was He argumentative? Did He emphasize logic? Was He “intolerant” and “judgmental”? Or was He “politically correct” and unwilling to condemn views that differed with His own? Only the New Testament can provide an accurate portrait of what Jesus was really like. Many have wrongly concluded that non-Christians today can look to the thief on the cross to learn specifically what to do to be saved. The fact is, the penitent thief was promised Paradise while living under the Old Covenant. Today, we live under the New Covenant. When Job cried out to God for answers, God impressed upon the patriarch His greatness. Instead of explaining to Job why he was suffering, God taught him about Deity's greatness by pointing out marvelous things regarding His creation. Indeed, God's earthly creation declares His glory and lays at the foundation of His praise. Thus, Christians should "declare His glory among the nations, His wonders among all peoples. For the Lord is great and greatly to be praised" (Psalm 96:3-4).
