The story of the Fig Tree Shows Us that Matthew 24 is Not About a Future End of the World

Dr. Kluane Spake https://kluane.com

Apostolic Mentor

This is a CO-Podcast about how Jesus used the story of the FIG TREE to tell about the disaster that was coming to Israel after His death.

His words were directed to the people He was talking to who lived then. His message was TO them and FOR them.. and FOR us. We study Scripture from a Finished Work Eschatology and apply the principles to our lives as well.

Matthew 24 is not about the end of the world in our time – it is about the end of an AGE or era during their time. It was a time of great war when the Temple was destroyed in AD 57.

Jesus was hungry and, "Seeing a fig tree by the road, he went up to it but found nothing on it except leaves.”

WHEN did this story happen?

One week before the crucifixion.

It was Spring time.

Jesus was on the way to Jerusalem, after staying in Bethany.

Jesus recently had cleansed the temple of Moneychangers.

The day before, Jews hailed him as king to deliver them (Matt. 21:1).

He was hungry and saw fig with leaves but no fruit on the tree.

God is ais the Farmer, the Husbandman who is always looking for fruit – no matter what the circumstances.

It was not the season for figs, but Jesus expected fruit anyway.

Fun C0-Podacast with Ap. Theresa Johnson and Scirbal Commander

Here on Apostolic Mentor, we want to demonstrate right relationships on mentoring. It is pivotal for the mentor to firstly hold the heart and the future of the mentee as a treasure to be unearthed.

It is not imperative that we agree totally on everything. However, the mentor does set the theological mindset for the relationship – read my books, learn from me. We also say, “let us walk together as equals.” “Don’t defer your gifts when you are with me.” We say, “you can talk to me about ANYTHING.”

Apostolic Mentoring covers everything including success, daily life, and dreams and goals,

I have been Apostle Theresa’s mentor for over six years and we want to share with you what it is like being together and what real mentoring is all about.

Dr. Kluane Spake https://kluane.com Why is it that sometimes we don’t see the manifestation of our prayers ? “Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.”

It’s important that we NEVER GIVE UP ON THE PROMISES OF GOD. . .If God promised you something was going to happen. . .the question isn’t whether or not He will keep His Word. . .the only question is how WE LIVE our lives while awaiting the manifestation! I pastored a successful church for 15 years and preached Mark 11 all the time! “Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.”

But often, I didn’t see the manifestation. The more you realize what God desires for your life, the more tangible these desires will become manifested because you will it be embodying His DESIRE. It goes to willingness eventually It’s important that we NEVER GIVE UP ON THE PROMISES OF GOD. . .if God said it or promised it in His Word, then it will come to pass. Major topics of the Bible have been misunderstood because of wrong translations of words. Now, the Books are opening! Papyrus have been discovered that are legal documents written at the time of the New Testament that are now being translated. These translations show us abundant uses of words that only appear a few times in the New Testament! Now, we can know more what the words actually mean. And we find that major topics have been misrepresented! Sometimes, it is difficult to change our belief system… but Truth presses us to discover what God intended to communicate to us — rather than what men have preached to us for centuries. In that discovery, we also learn that because of the Finished work, the Priesthood changed! It is no longer Levitical. Jesus gave us His Melchizedek Priesthood and we must learn to walk in that! The Finished Work Is A Most Significant Bible Truth That You Can Begin To Apply Today, Even Though You’ve Been Taught Differently For Too Long Dr. Kluane Spake https://kluane.com

The Apostle John tells us the very last human words of Jesus, "After this, Jesus, knowing that all was now finished, said… 'IT IS FINISHED,’ and he bowed his head and gave up his spirit" (Jn. 19:38).

Well, did Jesus finish His work? This is a vital question that every believe must determine. Did He complete my salvation or after I accept Him, do I have to do something more??

This is the trap of religion – to believe I must do something more to be acceptable, to be holy, or to be sanctified. Religion is the cross plus something MORE that I have to do.

“Jesus said unto them, My MEAT is to do the will of him that sent me, and to FINISH His work” (John 4:34). Here is the will of God clearly defined, to finish the work given. Did Jesus finish? Or… does He need to come back and die again?
