EPS 20: Goal Setting In A 12 Week Year
In this episode, you will learn:
If you want to achieve your dreams, 12 months is too long to do that. Instead, 12 weeks is the perfect amount of time to go after your goals and get them done.
Top performers recognize that working in shorter periods of time brings greater urgency and focus. Periodization, a technique that isolates achieving one skill or goal in less time, works in business and in life.
What if we viewed our business and our personal lives in quarters, 12-week periods, instead of 12 months? If we break things down into quarters, we can achieve as much in 12 weeks as many achieve 12 months. Having a narrow focus, an urgent time period and consistent execution will get you extraordinary results.
In this episode, you'll learn how to get leverage on yourself and create an urgency that will propel you to new heights. To support you, we'll talk about tools that can help, such as S.M.A.R.T goals and visualization. By the end of the episode, you'll have identified your two goals for the next 12 weeks and how you're going to go after them.

EPS 19: What is the story you are telling yourself?
In this episode, you will learn:
Stories have to shape our world—especially the stories we tell ourselves.
We tell ourselves stories all the time, often about who we are, what we've experienced and what we can or cannot do. If we tell ourselves a story enough time, we'll start to believe it. Words have power. And, the most powerful words are the ones we tell ourselves.
We aren't usually aware of our stories, or the problems they can cause us. That's where the real damage can occur. Life is far less about the event that occurs, and more about the story we tell ourselves about the event.
Here's the true power of stories: if you can change your story, you will change your life! Imagine taking back that power to be able to rewrite your story, rewrite your world. What could you do with that power?
In this podcast, you'll discover what the story is that you're telling yourself and why it may be holding you back from your best life. Then you'll learn how to start rewriting your story and changing your life.

EPS 18: The Simple, Effective Checklist (Process) That You Need Now
In this episode, you will learn:
Today we're going to talk about one of the easiest, most effective processes you can use to increase your productivity. You literally have everything you need right now to start using this tool. In fact, you probably use it already, but today, we're going to talk about how you can use it more in your business and your life. What is it, you ask? Checklists. Don't underestimate the power of this simple tool. Introducing checklists into any aspect of your life or business yield immediate results.
It's easy to overlook the significance of a checklist especially when we "know what to do" already. But, having a checklist can make a significant difference for novices and experts alike. Even highly-trained, highly-experienced individuals see huge benefits from checklists.
A checklist is just one more tool to move us towards that goal we want.

EPS 17: Why You Should Eat the Ugliest Frog First
In this episode, you will learn:
Mark Twain once said: "If it's your job to eat a frog, the best thing to do is eat it first thing in the morning. And if your job is to eat two frogs, it's best to eat the biggest one first. Eating the frog means to just do it. Otherwise, the frog will eat you."
So, what is the frog? The frog is an important thing you have to do that you've been putting off. It may be a big, ugly task or conversation that's taking up mental real estate. Other times it's a few things that sit on our to-do list day after day. Sometimes the frog may not even make it to your to-do list because you don't want to see it! No matter what, that "frog" is always in the back of our mind.
At the root of it, frogs are usually based in fear. It might be fear of having the hard conversation, or getting bad news, finally knowing the truth or getting in over your head. People can feel so overwhelmed by their frogs and think that the frog will take hours or days to eat. Spoiler alert: Often it takes 20 minutes or less!
Here's the big thing to remember: the frogs never go away. No matter how much you avoid or hide from them, they will hop all over your subconscious and distract you. And frogs multiply. Even high performers have frogs, but they eat their frogs faster. And, you can too.

EPS 16: Your Personal Board of Directors Part 2
In this episode, you will learn how to:
Today, we are following up on Episode 10 Your Personal Board of Directors!
That episode hit a nerve as many listeners and clients reached out with questions after discovering that they were struggling in this essential area! Many were surprised not only that they HAD a board, but that they had not staffed them well.
Many times, the staffing of our boards is due to our own insecurities, not trusting our own judgement or wanting to win the approval of others. We can hear the same message or voice over and over in our minds until it simply becomes background noise that we no longer question nor are we consciously aware of.
We can change this-- if we are willing to examine it.
So, let's continue to explore this topic and discover the power that WE hold when we become the Chairman of our own boards, and how to powerfully change our lives when we decide that the conversations in our head are no longer open to everybody with an opinion.
